So, a friend of mine told me on that on the weekend she went in Miss Muddy, an event she described as like tough mudder but for women entrants only. She was convinced to go in a team of about 30 by one of her friends.
For the price of seventy dollars she got to climb walls, be squired by paint, crawl though a slime pit, a foam pit and mud pit with thick mud and net that kept entrants low so the mud coursed though their cloths.
By end of it, the mud was thickly stuck to her and had to be removed by a high pressure hose.
I doubt that she is a wammer, but you've got to think that organizer is. I had to work a little to keep a face of quiet amusement. Frankly, the event had included pie throwing, I would have cum on the spot.
Anyway I found a couple of links for those interested in mud.
On a similar note, there's a similar event coming up in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia, for everyone. (Male and Female)
"Mad Cow Mud Run" Sunday 8th March 2015
The main (adults) event is a 12KM run with various obstacles (See map at lower link) but I can't justify the $70 price tag it has. that and I'm far to unfit to even walk that kind of distance.
Wow. And I bet they actually *pay* to do this, don't they? Brilliant.
There needs to be something similar in the US. Maybe "Miss Pie-lates", where women pay to dress up in expensive lingerie and get pelted with pies and gunge while doing pilates.
dougiezerts said: Did you ask her if she enjoyed doing it? If I was you, I would've!
She said she wouldn't do it again, that it was not worth the effort and money. There is only o far I'd go in questioning her on this as I wanted to avoid having a boner in the office and she is married with small children.
But, I figure, that as there are 6000 women who participated some must like it. Especially as at the end of the mud pits were a couple of large bare chested muscular who seem to have no purpose other than to provide motivation of the entrants. Go figure.
In the US there's a "Tough Mudder" variant specifically for women called the "Dirty Girl Mud Run." Only girls are allowed on the course but family or friends are allowed to support/watch from the sidelines. I've thought about participating in these kinds of events (it was a similar kind of event back in my pre-teen days that skeewed my perspective on this stuff forever after) but as I'm currently pregnant.... well you get the picture.
Other coed messy runs in the USA are the Warrior Dash and the Color Run. Various cities/locations have them. Volunteered at the Warrior Dash held at Budds Creek Motocross Park 2 years ago to help a friend raise money for http://www.kupenda.org/ If you are into mud it could be fun, not sure if it was would be worth the price though ($100 at the gate at that time, cheaper if you pre-purchased). Some people do show up in costumes and formal wear which was cool by me. Just keep in mind that the vast majority of people are there for fun, not cause they have any interest in sploshing.
