Hi everyone, I wanted to make this post to document my experience working with Messygirl to make a BJ custom. This is now my 3rd time working with them, and to sum it up, it's awful. There's not many producers that offer this so I didn't have much of a choice on who to pick. But I ordered my first custom on 5/8 and after 3 weeks of being told we will film this weekend he finally sent me the vid on 5/26. After watching it, I realized he had only stuck to a third of the script that he had agreed to multiple times. So I told him he didn't follow the script and agreed to reshoot.

After 4 months on 9/19 he had finally sent me my video. Mind you, every week I reached out to him 1-2 times to try to check in and get an update. I was either ignored or just told we will film this weekend. Blatant lies.


On 10/29 I decided to give them another chance bc it seemed like they were being more responsive this time around. But I should have learned my lesson the first. It's almost been 5 months and I still just get ignored and lied to.

I can understand that things happen every now and then. But being ignored and lied to constantly is just super unprofessional. If they had even told me it might take a couple months when I paid I would understand but this is just ridiculous. I have tried to work with them but am getting no where. Not to sure what to do now :/

MG makes amazing videos and I went to them for a custom that caused endless amounts of aggravation.

I posted about it in late 2024 and it drummed up similar experiences while also getting some contrary positive responses in their favor.

Seems like they're a crap shoot with respect and positivity. I'd never gamble on them again though.

Once MG got all my monies up front I became a stranger to them.

Not good business people and definitely not good b producers when it comes customs.

Glad to hear this is how they treat everyone and not just me.

What type of things were they saying to defend them?

Yeah I also ordered a custom video from them, paid upfront then heard nothing. When I asked they said something like their emails got wiped and they lost my custom request. They kept coming back with the same excuse and eventually stopped replying. Still waiting on that custom.

I think for "messygirl," it's all just a business, and every WAM fetishist is just a cash cow. It has nothing to do with love for the WAM fetish anymore.

The going price for a bj custom is 400. He offered 75, so I told him since he is a fan, I would cover the 325 if I can fit it in the budget, but it may take longer, he was willing to take that offer.

If that's true, and I have no reason not to believe it, that seems perfectly fair.

And I am shocked that the going rate for a BJ custom is four hundred bucks--surprisingly affordable.

I've been ordering from MG going back a long time.

Years ago, couldn't say nice enough things--clear communication, script followed, great ad-libbing, etc.

In recent years, your post mirrors my experiences. Had a rough go on a video, and due to the history I decided to give them another shot hoping it was a fluke.I got the same excuses for months and months of delays: lost emails, lost script. Then the video received didn't remotely follow the agreed-upon script, re-shoot a joke.

It just feels shady for one reason or another. And that's sad to say because I love the girls and the shoots, but the ongoing and consistent lack of professionalism makes the videos not worth the headache, excuses, or months of waiting on a shoot that is promised in weeks.

I've been getting customs from MG for years now.

I think it's a mistake to think you're going to get it in a few days / weeks. sometimes the models just aren't available or quit or something happens that delays the shoot. It's not like amazon or other businesses where there's a predictable time to make the thing, and I think MG is often optimistic about timelines. he gives the time when he hopes it can happen, but then things happen that delay it. Sometimes a particular model quits, or isn't willing to go as far as the custom we had planned. Like I think HGD Zoey was maybe 6 months between when we planned for it and when she ended up doing it.

I tend to expect at least a month, and it sometimes can run a lot longer. Like right now I'm waiting for stuff that was paid for in November & December. But I'm not worried because MG has always delivered amazing stuff that makes it worth the wait in the end.

This blows my mind. Even as an add-on to an existing shoot and using unused ingredients still floating around.. a messy bj custom for $75?! I'd expect that to come with a 1 year lead time..

You made no mention of a BJ shoot costing $400 prior to me paying and told me that you would shoot next week. I also try to make a deal with you that I would pay you $75 upfront and $75 once the video is done.

Firstly, I expected to pay $150. Yeah I get it, it's still not a lot but why accept if that's not enough? And my issue isn't there being a 1 year lead time, it's the unprofessionalism of a larger creator who won't tell you there's a 1 year lead time but will keep leading you on and telling you it will be ready the following weekend.

Again, I'm not expecting the videos be made right then and there lol. My expectation is being told a time frame and sticking to it. And yeah I get it, shit happens but I would like to know what happened and when a better time would be. This is called professionalism. And with Messygirl being one of the largest creators on this platform that is the least I would expect from them.

Seems fair to me!!! I don't think you guys realize on here how much time goes into answering emails a messages about custom videos. We take the time to communicate and when we give a price, the customer either says "I only have $50." Or I can't afford that right now. The fact that he did it, and made it happen when he could, you should be more appreciative.

Almost like that's what you signed up for when you became a creator and agreed to a custom lol. We take the time to go make a living and then try to spend some money on something we enjoy. If you're not willing to communicate, don't offer customs. Be ApPcEcIaTiVe that people spend their hard earned money on you.

I planned on making a completely different thread on this topic. However, I feel like this thread is the perfect spot to create a little thought provoking comment.

I, Penelope, fetish content producer. I'm not only own my own Fetish website but I've been producing and having that as my full-time job for the past seven years. I still Model occasionally, but content production is my bread and butter. I've worked for thousands of producers in the past 15 years that I've been doing this full-time. During that time I've learned quite a lot about what is expected, what is done, and how these producers live their life. Hence me making a very successful production business out of hardly anything. I have over 6000 customers on my email list. I arrange about 30 customs per shoot that I set up. I set up anywhere between two and four shoots a month. I bring in about 10 to 20 models per month. In those 30 customs that I shoot I have priority and expedited delivery that gets delivered between zero and five days. This is an extra $ add-on. Everyone else will get their custom video within 14 days. If for whatever reason the shoot is postponed all of my customers get their clips as soon as it shot with free priority or expedited delivery, they also get the option to get a refund. I have hundreds of five star reviews to account for my communication skills, my delivery, and my scripts following every last detail and/or being even better than expected.
The issue I see here is out of all the other fetishes in the world, wet and messy is the only, and I repeat only, Fetish that has a rate as low as the rate is. $250 for a Messy custom is absolutely mind blowing. Every single other Fetish in the world charges per minute. The average cost of my customs are $500. These are easy customs that can be done within 30 minutes or less. There's no cleanup there's no anything. Asking for a custom for a low amount of money is amazing. To be able to get customs at a discounted and low price you have to understand that producers need to make it appeal to the masses. If the producer appeals to the masses, then they are able to sell it and cover any extra expenses that is needed. to appeal to the masses and cover the cost that are lacking in custom payments. The script will need to be changed.
Unfortunately, it has been brought to my attention that the rates for customs in the Messy world has not gone up since around 2006. That is absolutely insane. i'm not saying that anyone should be subjected to waiting for customs, not getting exactly what they wanted, or being ignored, I'm just saying you get what you pay for. I hope this doesn't offend anybody as I am currently trying to branch out my production into Messy production as well. I've been at sort of a standstill because everyone is very spoiled to the rates that is the set standard in the Messy world. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this topic. Especially since I have many customers in other countries that are considered developing countries that have no issues with the typical rates out there. However, I have very well to do working people in the Messy community that have no idea that they've been Getting amazing rates this whole time. I am by no means taking up for Darrell, as we no longer have a working relationship. I am just sharing my thoughts and hoping that somebody can enlighten me into what exactly this messy world is all about when it comes to customs.

That's cheap. But as I said, it proves the fact that, in longer terms, people like me can just make Videos as long I did not hope to earn (a lot) money with it. I think it would be very boring if there are just Professionals Out there...

Well said Penelope, this is why I never even offered customs! If I were to do them they would start at $2,000 and up, and no one can probably afford that, but that's what it would cost me, my production is very different to MG.

As for MG, we have had business dealings in the past and it has not gone well, so like Penelope we no longer have a working relationship. I will say no more about the subject.

I would highly recommend Penelope, in my conversations with her she is honest, straightforward, reliable and most importantly responsive. A good business mind. (No Penelope is not paying me to say that LOL) I fully intend on getting her to do some cooperative movies with Dirty Muse this year. I am moving location and it will be sometime before I can build my 5th Mud Pit. In the mean time Penelope, amazingly loaded tons of my Mud in to a truck and now has use of it in Texas.

Unfortunately, Zoey is not allowed to shoot with me since she agreed to only shoot with Darrell via A minimum monthly contract. However, I do have many other models. I'd be more than happy to make that happen for you and I!

I would think for these models in messygirl it would be at least 1,000 for just the model to give a bj then then extra for the mess and the supplies and content creators time for shooing prep and clean up
$150 is basically pro bono work cause they gonna loose money in this for sure

Between that, piracy, and difficulty / grossness of being coveted in food and loosing your own clothes and likely smelling for several days, makes sense we many models end up going to more lucrative types of content and fetish work

It blows my damn mind that y'all would get quoted an unbelievably good price for a custom, miscommunicate over some emails, and then go straight to UMD to try and blow up MG (and Penelope)

MG is complained about on here for customs, or lack of delivery, every couple of months now.

I had the same issue previously, and I hadn't tried to haggle a price at all. I send the details, asked for the quote, accepted and paid in full and then got met with the same excuses. Getting the cash back was a nightmare, and due to currency exchange rates left me out of pocket.

There's going to end up being another complaint made by someone else soon enough I expect. What are the admin team planning to do to try and prevent this, if anything?

Didn't realize Penelope & "Messygirl" had gone their separate ways. Last I'd read somewhere on here Long ago, Penelope was apparently set to be taking over the Messygirl Brand once they retired. Guess that fell apart. (or maybe that info was incorrect) Regardless, Nice to hear Penelope is planning to continue making messes. Please let us know when you do.

Of Course, I feel sorry for people on both sides who have had issues with their Customs. To most customers off the street, there's no awareness of what is or isn't a good rate, and no concept of what the expected turn-around time might be (especially if they have no first hand experience)
And producers get inundated with requests on the regular that end up going nowhere once costs are explained, but also get called out when a customer doesn't get a response/reply immediately.

I've toyed with the idea of getting a custom for years (hell decades) at this point, and yet I've never been able to convince myself the hassle would be worth the Return on Investment.

Threads like this continue to reinforce that thought.

PS - While, hopefully everything works out. I do think there should be more transparency in everything that goes into producing various types of custom fetish content and what reasonable expectations would follow. If more people understood the realities of producing their fantasies, maybe we'd all be a little happier?
