this is to continue the discussion and exchange on sexy / messy TV spots for detergents, stain removers or other products.
I will start with some pics from a 1996 spot for Ariel aired in Hungary featuring a beautiful woman painting flowers on her lovely dress - with lipstick!... Enjoy!
...here we go, please take a look at the following pictures from an Asian spot for Ariel detergent. I love the way she pours the juice over her blouse... very nice girls! Do you agree?
I remember a couple of classics which my Google-Fu doesn't seem to be finding:
1. A chocolate advert from the late 80s or early 90s where the main ad, talking about how they couldn't fit all the goodness that was in the bar into the advert, appeared to finish, and then what looked like a detergent ad, with a woman in (as I remember it) a while top and black trousers by a washing machine talking about how clean things were started - and then the chocolate ad voice comes back in "so the chocolate is in this one", and the woman gets deluged with liquid chocolate from above. And it was well filmed, you even see her trousers getting some of the mess.
2. An ad I still have somewhere on a VHS tape with a James Bond movie tapped off the telly, it was shown towards Xmas and I'd a feeling the ads might be good ones so each break let it start recording them, and hit wetlook gold - a Schwarzkopf advert with a woman with long black hair, wearing a long sleeve black top and black trousers, getting utterly drenched by an absolute deluge of water from one side - it looked like they'd opened up on her with several fire hoses at once, and she was filmed full height so you could see her entire outfit getting drenched as the water cascaded over her. At the end the shot cut to a close up of her completely drenched head, hair, and shoulders, and the voiceover said "Schwarzkopf - Don't get it wet for anything less". Whoever made that ad really understood wetlook.
