So my wife and I have an anniversary coming up this weekend and we were planning on getting really messy with gunge from messy supplies. Sadly my order of gunge isn't going to arrive on time. This is my fault for overlooking the type of shipping I chose and waiting too long to order. So unless someone on here has a ton of gunge and is willing to overnight it to me (I'll obviously pay) we will be needing to look into other stuff to get messy with. I purchased a big inflatable pool and we need ideas. We want a huge mess and to have tons of fun. Let's hear your suggestions! (Nothing savory please) everything else goes!!!
Our anniversary is coming up this weekend and we had planned to get messy in a ton of gunge in a pool but I messed up on ordering from messy supplies and it won't be here on time. If anyone in the US has a lot of gunge and is willing to overnight it to me (I'll pay) please let me know! If this doesn't work out we will be getting messy by other means. Thank you!
It's not just cake batter if you enhance the recipe a little bit. Try using milk instead of water and tripling the amount of eggs mixed with it. The texture is changed for the better or batter; which ever.
Go to the store and load up on cream cakes/gateaux, and whatever else you fancy wearing that night. Dessert sauces, honey/syrup/treacle, porridge oats (makes a textured slime when mixed with green dye/paint**), melted ice cream, tinned fruit, custard, cake batter (or frosting). Art and craft store might supply clay so you could make mud pit.
**grab tempera type paints from the children's craft section- non toxic and usually washes out when used to dye slime. Didn't wash out of clothes when I used it neat.
Its a shame your gunge isn't going to arrive on time. I hope you still enjoy your anniversary mess all the same. (on the brighter side, you can have a second messy session when the gunge does arrive!)

I found these giant buckets of chocolate icing. I'm definitely getting a bunch of these!
If you wanted gunge and cannot get it in time, my recommendation is the large cans of pudding and/or apple sauce. Both feel delightful! I always a put on a kettle of water and add just a stir just a little bit in to warm it all up.
That said, happy anniversary, and many more to come!
