Hello All, hope someone with knowledge can help me out on this one:
So...after a drunken text conversation about bucket lists with a friend, sploshing was mentioned by me, to which she said "Is that like food fight fucking? So horny!" and now it's on the cards But (why is there always a but?) she wants to wear swim goggles.
The reason is she has these semi-permanent eyelash extensions. Those are the ones where you have to sit for hours while the extensions are glued to each lash individually. They cost a fair bit and are supposed to last as long as the natural lash does. I get why she wants to protect them, but does she need to, or are her fears unfounded?
I don't know enough about them to make an educated guess. I know the fake strip type ones can easily come off sploshing, but they only last a day or 2 anyway, so it's not really comparing like for like. But I think there must be sploshers/partners/producers/models on here who have them. Can anyone share any experience of problems with this type of eyelash extension, or can say "never had a problem and done it loads"? I tried googling it, but all I found was stuff like "don't sleep on your stomach or side", but not "don't get custard on them or have a piefight."
The fears are accurate. Oil will destroy the lash extension...even people with oily skin can have issues with lash extensions if they do not care for them properly.
I would recommend that you arrange for this as the lash extension update is coming up. They are expensive and gunge, pie, etc should easily damage them due to oil in most food products.
Along with sewn-in hair extensions, lash extensions are one of the biggest deal-breakers for trying to bring in new models now.
I mean, beyond the fact that IG allows them to get paid without leaving their house.... and OnlyFans give them more money than they can EVER earn with a WAM producer (plus 100% control over their content).... But even interested models tend to back out for fear of having their expensive lashes destroyed.
Taylor was probably the last girl with lash extensions to shoot with me, because we had history, but she always scheduled a shoot just before she was going in for new ones.
The things women put themselves through in the name of beauty seems mad to me. Hours spent getting tiny bits glued to you, and then, don't get them wet, don't sleep on them funny, and now obvs no custard pies either
Timing it for shortly before she is going to have them redone sounds the way to go. Goggles would be awkward, and I can imagine her ripping them off halfway through things anyway.
What they said about oils. I don't get the draw for getting them put in because a good lash build mascara works just as well in my opinion, unless maybe your natural ones are just too short.
