Mel told me today she's always wanted to try pottery.

I told her she could as long as she mixed the clay first.

Of course she wasn't pleased at all when I showed how to mix it and get the lumps out

Hi Jayce, I just used powdered Bentonite clay. I deliberately left it chunky to start with, so not a lot of mixing. I found that during the sploshing session (it lasted about 40 minutes) it got more and more mixed so that in the end it was really smooth and gloopy and extra sticky.
I've stored it in sealed tubs so I'm planning another session soon but I've also found some Bentonite Clay with activated charcoal. I'm going to mix that in to make a very dark grey/black clay next time
