I use cool whip and way less of a smell Used to make heavy cream mixed with other stuff but the wife complained of smelling it up her nose from the pie upswipes
Her outfits have a slight smell but it's better than heavy cream and whipped cream
I agree - the heavy cream getting whipped does leave a rancid smell for a couple of days and we have stopped using it as a result and switched back to Cool-Whip and it is much nicer.
Nondairy is for sure the way to go. There's also a cream recipe floating around UMD that's cold water, emulsifier and sugar and it leaves no smell. But coolwhip for those who have access to it is for sure a way better option than anything dairy
Does anybody have experience with the nondairy whipped cream from a can and if it leaves a smell? I love the sound of it coming out of the can when making the pie.
