More the merrier! I do sometimes wonder what to tag my cross dressing content as though? I generally tag it "trans" but was never sure that was correct?
Cis male who enjoys cross-dressing here. My instinct would be that labeling that content as "trans" can be problematic. For someone assigned male at birth, crossdressing as a woman in your spare time is not the same as being out as a woman 24/7.
That being said, I know that a lot of folks experiment with cross-dressing or drag before coming out as trans. I think whatever label makes the most sense to who you are is what's appropriate. I'm not here to be a gatekeeper, especially since I don't identify as trans myself.
wetuniform said: "Drag" is a gay term and is usually well OTT as per drag DJs in night clubs and is done more for fun. Cross Dress is a male, who is usually straight, who likes dressing properly as a woman.
I agree that cross dress means dressing properly in nice clothing and full underwear but then personally destroy the look with mess.

Tag it as trans. The first time I posted CD WAM doing crossdressmess.com was before there was even a trans tag on the UMD and so I had to use the male tag - despite clearly signposting it was CD content in my topic title I still received a bunch of abuse from UMD lurkers sent straight to the website's email address.
After that I was reluctant to post any further CDM updates to the UMD and tried sticking to just publicising in Splosh and ECGunge forums at the time but with none of the content getting close to breaking even between the lack of demand and potential abuse that even continuing to prove a point would prove a pyrrhic victory that wasn't worth the hassle and cost which played one of the major factors for my stopping that project.
Sure it doesn't feel quite accurate to stick it under trans given how much distance actual transsexuals would like to place between them and people crossdressing for kinky fun especially given the utter horseshit try to use against them in wider political debates. However the few bigots that still lurk about certainly don't care about any distinctions and think any genderbending should be shoved under that category - as far as they are concerned when they choose to enable male they want to see men presenting as men - and you may as well take whatever steps you can to fly under their radar. It's not great but certainly better than it was and a whole lot better than all those other adult sites out there that clump all their gender divergent stuff under a heading of "shemales," or "trannies."
That's just my recommendations based on my own experiences, and I'll end my brief interlude there by shutting up, sinking back into lurk mode and letting the original topic resume.
A Cross Dress tag would be great, would certainly suit my content better, as it doesn't really fit. Do realise that this could be a slide in to having a thousand different tags that are impossible to navigate. I always view "all" as I like a bit of everything!
Who would be administering the mess? You might get different audiences if you had pretty girls dressed up as a soccer team dish it out on somebody than if you had an unknown person off camera.

So I'm just doing a poll to see what everyone else would want
Cute Japanese maid outfit.....lots of frilly lace and and super cute!
If I'm ever fortunate to have a messy session with you, MewMew, I will be happy to wear a French maid outfit for you.
I don't necessarily like cross dressing but I do like the femdom/humiliation aspect of wearing a pvc French maid outfit. I almost had the chance a few years ago but plans got canceled.

I just put up two lots of content tagged "trans" but it gets so little interest here it's not really worth the effort. I think it works out at about one reaction for every 4 pies, so that's about £2 a reaction!
It's not my thing, but I would never discourage anyone from sharing it. We're a very diverse community with very diverse tastes, and whatever 'your thing' might be, you can guarantee someone else out there will enjoy it.
I have followed the debate about how crossdressers should tag photos with interest. Like everything these days, language can be used as a weapon!
As a CDer myself, I just enjoy putting on a smart outfit, complete with wig, makeup and heels, and then getting totally trashed. I'll leave it to others to describe what sort of person that makes me!
I think it's more about hooking like minded people up with the content they're looking for. If you're looking for CD content, which forum would be best to find it? It could just be that most CD posters on here just aren't interested in viewing others doing the same, but CD content posted in trans gets virtually no interest, or it could just be my content is rubbish!
