So I've seen two major posts complaining about how this site is trying to drive people to buying content and shutting down posts with mainstream content. Mainly the discussion is about whether or not the content is appropriate for an adult site and I don't need to go into detail as there is already a 5 page forum post about this and you can just read that for details. But one complaint is that their posts keep getting deleted so therefore, only paid content is allowed. But what really, really confuses me about this, is the fact that there is so much free content on this site from the other users. My god, I have like, 24 free videos of me getting muddy or pied in public on my profile. I have HUNDREDS of photos of me messy to fap to for free. Not to mention so many other producers who give away free faps on their profiles too. So this is just not understandable to me that because certain mainstream content is prohibited that we only want you to pay to watch something. I mean, there are so many of us here who have stores who are genuine wammers who also share our personal experiences and the results of those experiences here, so please feel free to browse the people on this site, because we're all here for the same reason. We all love WAM, we all want to play with our food, get doused with water, or covered in any other substance that turns us on.
The other thing I want to talk about is how there are wammers here who identify as asexual who are not into this purely for sexual reasons or purposes. They maybe do not feel sexual in any way and do not engage in sexual activities and I can understand how not everyone who is here is here to get off or masturbate or have kinky sex and so they may not be trying to offend anyone with the kind of WAM content that they enjoy watching or want to share. I totally feel the nostalgia from the programming that introduced me to pies in the face and sliming, but I also understand that some people who enjoy watching it are not watching it for sexual purposes, so their intent is not to exploit anyone for any reason. That being said, because there is so much adult content here it just makes sense that we have to make a very important distinction between what we allow to be viewed here, regardless of how innocent and unharmful our intentions are in sharing that content.
I myself have posted mainstream content here. I've had some of my posts deleted as well, and the reasoning made sense to me. In all honesty I haven't posted any mainstream content in a long time because so many of you have already found it and posted it. So please, keep posting mainstream content because I enjoy seeing it as much as you do, and so do other producers. We actually get inspiration from it and try to recreate these scenes ourselves, and sometimes not to sell, just to have the experience of doing it!
I have not seen a decrease in content from the mainstream. I think what may be happening is that some clips were questionable and rather than allow something that is a gray area, it was decided it should be removed.
When thinking about the topic of content being sexual or not depending on the perspective of the viewer, I think about how I classify this site. I do not see it as a porn site. While there is content available here that would fall under the definition of porn, not all of the content meets that definition. The definition of porn is basically content meant to cause sexual feelings in the viewer. I do not enjoy mud videos or pictures for example. I understand how it can be a turn on and how the thought of being trapped and sinking can be appealing. With it not "doing anything" for me as they say, is two people in mud having sex still porn, or does it become art at that point?

I'm so glad you brought up art vs pornography, I think the two are very symbiotic. Art can be pornographic and pornography can be artistic so they can both exist together as one. Some artists want you to become sexually aroused and evoke an emotion and inspire that specifically in you when they create their art. Whether or not you get aroused by it doesn't mean that it's one or the other. This site particularly calls itself an adult site because it hosts pornographic content and I think any site that hosts pornographic content is considered a porn site. I would say that the intention of the creator of the content is what classifies it as art or pornography. Unless the creator of the content says that they created it as art, then I would classify any sexual content posted here as pornography. I specifically make pornography. I can understand where others may consider what I do as art, and not feel sexually aroused by it, but my sole intention is to arouse people who watch me.
There was a claim that there's some kind of conspiracy against mainstream content in order to sell more producer content, but this was disproven even as that other thread was running, as at the same time there was an awesome and popular thread in the Messy forum with videos of the mud-wrestling scenes from the TV gameshow "Fort Boyard". Though this also demonstrated what's actually the biggest risk with mainstream clips, esp if they're from somewhere like YouTube, as a week or so after that thread started, the owner of the channel the clips were from abruptly took it private.
Sadly, all too often, if someone posts a link to mainstream clip to a fetish forum (and this isn't restricted to just WAM, it's a general issue), people with no concept of how to just enjoy something for what it is will start bombarding the source of the clip with demands, inappropriate messages, etc. Which more often than not results in the item being made private or deleted entirely. This has been going on for years.
Also as mentioned of course there is an absolute smorgasboard of free content right here on UMD and any member can add more whenever they like.
On the subject of asexuality, while for some it means a complete lack of any sexual response to stuff, there are also a lot of asexuals for whom it means "no desire to have sex with anyone else" - but still having kinks, fetishes, consuming visual erotica, and an active masturbatory life.
And for anyone wondering why the other thread mentioned upthread has jumped back up the forum when the last visible post was from almost a month ago, someone replied to it yesterday and then deleted their reply, but the forum index is counting that deleted reply as the most recent post. I've flagged it to MM with a query if deleted posts should be discounted when calculating the most recent post date for a thread.

And it is about time this stops. I've already had to filter comments on my uploads because what some people's comments have actually gotten me flagged for violations despite being fully compliant. People need to learn to just simply enjoy what we're putting out there and if you're gonna comment, do so with the understanding that fetish talk is not exactly welcome everywhere. My next step is I shut off comments because I want to keep my channel alive *shrugs*.

I feel this. I mean, yeah, we are not exactly making Saturday morning cartoons here but I have had fans comment on my works simply for the appreciation of what our look inspires and the memories it brings them and honestly that was kinda our goal. I like "treading the line" and "pushing the boundary" a bit so the fact that our stuff is both appreciated by both fetishists and simple guys and gals who actually lived or remembered the era and recognize much of what we're doing here, it's an honor really and possibly the best compliment I can receive.
On the other, yeah, it's supposed to be sexy. It was an age of decadence! It's supposed to get the men torqued up. That was kinda the point. . Do people find arousal in what we do? Absolutely. Can someone sit back and watch it in simple appreciation and acknowledge the "tip of the hat" to a generation that kinda defined America in the 1980's-1990's? Definitely.
That being said, one has to acknowledge what is and is not appropriate for kids. It's the responsible thing to do. My stuff isn't for kids. It never will be so as such, I will always label my stuff for mature audiences. Conversely, the opposite is true: stuff directly aimed at children need to stay clear off this site. This isn't a slight at mainstream content and I will certainly acknowledge that there are things management can do to send a better message on this but I don't subscribe to the theory that mainstream content is "under attack" on this forum. I will agree that the financial overlords who make things harder for us to operate are being heavy handed but that is hardly the fault of anyone here.
I'm an enthusiastic amateur, I have no interest in going "commercial" and I have found the platform and it's administrators never anything other than supportive and friendly. To my knowledge I've never had anything deleted. I have nearly 1000 pictures here of my daft adventures in the mud. I hope to continue sharing indefinitely for the small handful of people that seem to like it what I get up to.

I had the same impression and confusion about this. This site seems to balance paid vs free and social vs commercial. It is fair and well moderated. I really appreciate the freebies we get from producers, store owners, and contributing users. I come here to buy sexualized or explicit wam scenes, but I also enjoy browsing the free pics.
This site could have been a lot different where it requires a subscription payment to see any pictures and ban any mainstream posts because it does not make the site money. It could have been completely free, run off ads, allow any mainstream post from any show, and ban any producer from posting their content in the forum.
On the topic of alternative or non-sexual reasons for enjoy wam, there is also a social aspect to sharing mainstream links. People seem to like to discuss wam moments in shows or talk about the shows that got them into wam.

I am happy that you shared this because this was a viewpoint which I did not consider. For me, I get inspiration of things I want to experience from the wam producers. I never though about where the wam producers get inspiration from. It never crossed my mind that a producer would enjoy mainstream content when they can make wam content hehe.
I was wondering, what are other reasons why folks on this forum like mainstream content? What kind of mainstream content do folks like the most? Sitcoms? Reality? Game shows? Movies? Music videos?

Oh I'm the guilty party who answered that thread yesterday and immediately deleted my comment. I mean, I don't pay attention to the day the thing was posted. My brain doesn't seem to care about those details, which is really frustrating. I'm not paying attention to when the post was made. I see that it's at the top of the forum and I see that it's an interesting topic and an interesting conversation and I think, "Okay, I want in on this." And then as soon as I post the comment I see that oh, fuck, this is like, over a month old and everyone's already moved on. My bad
Thank you for the clarification on asexuality. I'm still learning about it and I'm really intrigued by it. I just recently read the forum thread talking about being on the ace-spectrum and I've never really looked into it or met anyone who identified as ace, so I'm really interested in learning more about it.
I'm really grateful you pointed out how driving traffic to these links is also problematic, there are definitely people out there who can be overwhelmingly relentless. I have wondered if a majority of these people may be developmentally different and not capable of understanding social cues or morays. They're not aware of personal boundaries and not able to understand how to navigate their sexuality with healthy boundaries, so they can be very overwhelming to someone who's not familiar with those personality types. But overall I can see how it's really important that we need to take that responsibility to protect both the people outside of our community and within our community.

I very believe this. I love creating stuff that really blurs the line for what most people consider art and porn. Even my sexually explicit stuff I try to keep super visually stimulating. I mostly only jokingly call my sploshing content "cake porn" because it barely qualifies as what most people would consider porn, if at all, in most of my shoots.

Oh I 100% believe that what you do is very artistically driven and creative on an artistic level. And you have a distinct aesthetic that is very much driven on a creative visual stimulation that isn't following in the same exact kind of content that is constantly being created here. Especially since you focus so much more on photography. I haven't seen as many people making specifically photographic porn as there are people making vids.

Ya know, I gotta take this moment to say that I love what you're doing. The bokeh, your colors, the lighting, scene choices and approach is all very different and I dig it! Your photos are almost what you would come to expect if the WAM community released their version of a swimsuit calendar and that's a good thing! We need more of that.

I think you hit the nail on the head with people wanting to share mainstream content to socialize more and make connections, find friends and socialize here more. Which is what I love about forum convos about mainstream scenes. They can evoke fun conversation about WAM that can bring us closer together. Another reason I think people share mainstream content is to specifically inspire people here to try and recreate the scenes. Not just producers, but anyone who wants to try to do something new or classic or epic and share that experience with the community. I mean, we all have been exposed to slapstick comedy at one point in mainstream media, so some people may want to see a classic scene recreated as more sexually explicit. Another reason is that in mainstream media, some slapstick scenes are poorly executed, so the mess is really disappointing because the purpose of the scene is not to please us here. So maybe the set up was really great, but they cut away from the best part and never show the person's face messy. A perfect example of this is from the tv show Scorpion. In one episode, one of the female cast members who's very attractive was running through a building with another cast member. The scene then suddenly cut to a different group of cast members waiting for them to make a getaway and when the female cast member caught up with them, she had cake on her, but not very much, and barely any on her face. And when someone asked her what happened, she said in a rush as they were making their get away " Ran into a cake, no I don't want to talk about it, let's get out of here" and I was so incredibly frustrated because that meant that there was actually a whole scene of this cake incident that was inevitably cut from the final release of the episode that we will no doubt never see. And things like this happen all the time in television and film. Mainstream is incredibly fickle in it's editing, a director may decide the scene is not as good as they thought it would be, or not as relevant to the story, or it made the episode too long and they have to cut scenes out of it. It's hard to execute perfect WAM elements in slapstick in mainstream content, so people want to see that scene redone to make it exactly what we would want to see it look like. There may be other reasons for sharing as well, I hope someone will share that if there are any.

I think the best mainstream WAM content are those where the intent of the producer/director and plot of that particular scene is a food fight/ piefight where the idea is for the main characters to get messy.. Think Threes Company Bakeoff- all of the pie hits are absolutely spot on and everyone gets creamed well. And the Latin series, ChocolateComPimenta, again where everyone gets an amazing sloppy pie in the face. Think all of the Three Stooges pie fights. When the intent of the scene is that the character or characters are to be pied, whether in humiliation or comedy, you will see the best hits that are pleasing to us as WAM fans.

I mean, this is kinda what got us involved. We honestly got tired of the mediocre attempts for messy wrestling scenes by the mainstream media and even some producers and we kinda went out to prove to ourselves that it can be done. Best recent example is "The Dirt" Motley Crue doc. The scene was absolutely pathetic and we know they probably shot about 2-3 times worth of footage for that scene. I'll admit it: We're greedy. We want ALL the things so here we are LOL.
I would turn comments completely off on youtube. It is not worth losing the channel and the uploads because people do not know how to act on the internet. As far as mainstream content, I like the more winks at the kink where they know it exists and there is no other reason to let the scene go on as long as they do. It is a shame how much gets left cut on the floor never to see the light of day. The scenes I don't like in mainstream is where they know about the kink and then they half ass it. In the diary of a call girl series, when I saw the first clip I was a little let down because it was underwhelming. I expected both of them to get trashed. Then I watched the second clip and it was worse. It felt like they were covering it because it is a kink but no one knew anything about it. It felt like a play on the American Pie movie. Hell Springer produced some of the best mainstream WAM clips in my opinion.

I think the issue is many mainstream producers don't wanna trek too far down the rabbit hole of fetish out of fear it will overshadow their ability as a producer. I've had real actresses and pro wrestlers alike reach out asking about working with us and once I explain to them that once it's online, expect it to stay there, they get second thoughts, and I totally get it. What if their career does decide to progress to the next stages and now they have the stigma of doing a stint in fetish work to have to try to explain away? Not everyone is Quentin Tarantino where they have a body of works that outpace their very clear interests into a fetish. Sadly the stigma of fetish is still very present in Hollywood. It's getting better but we're not there yet.
The other issue is where the money comes from. Some financial backers of these productions are comfortable with certain things playing out on camera while others are not. As much as a producer might want to do a full on scene that encompasses an act with accuracy, some financiers may feel that it may effect a show/movie's success. Keep in mind, they don't just want their money back but they also want to make money on the project.

Ugh it's so frustrating when music videos drop the ball! I feel like if you're going to go to the trouble of buying supplies and using them, then make it count! Like that song about Cake By The Ocean, they stage a fictional sporting event style cake fight. The idea is great, but they legit use cake with almost no frosting and don't even get me started on how non-existent the face coverage was. It was such a mood killer! I mean the song is supposed to be a metaphor for having sex, so there was prime potential to make something that could have really been memorable and gotten more attention.

Yeah. I can just about promise you that was strictly a call from DNCE management. They didn't want to shove money into a music video that wouldn't get played or would get bumped off Youtube because it was too risqué. It happens more than you would think. Either the artist or creative storyboards this amazing storyline, everyone is in agreement, and about a week before the shoot, the changes start coming down from either management or the label (in this case, Republic Records). As much as I love seeing artists get payed, it would be nice if it wasn't such a dominating factor of the industry to where it actually effects creative. It would be even better if Youtube and other socials would actually permit free artistic expression without the handicap of ToS.
It also appears to be how much creative control the artist has. Some have more than others. Robin Thicke with "Blurred lines" had a pretty strong say in the video with the director Diane Martel so they cut two versions (clean and uncensored). On the other hand, other artists have less *shrugs*.

Likewise - I wanted to shoot my own scenes long before I had any idea there was any kind of a market or even that there was anyone else in the world who found fully clothed messy women a turn-on, entirely because of how badly filmed 95% of mainstream content featuring such scenes was. You got the odd good scene but even then generally it was a case of having to freeze-frame exactly the right moment and then enjoy the still image, because as soon as you let the actual video roll it'd rapidly cut away to something irellevant from the WAM POV.

And this demonstrates how no two wammers will want exactly the same results. I couldn't care less about face coverage, I'd happily **buy** scenes where the model's head and face stayed completely clean, as long as I can properly see their fully cothed legs, bums, crotch, and lower trunk, getting messy, and they are wearing clothes I like.
Back in the days of Noel's House Party I kept wishing they'd modify their gunge tank to spray the gunge out from the side, at about shoulder height, so it'd totally drench their victim's clothes and body, while leaving their head clean and avoiding the "bounces off their head, sprays all over the sides, and blocks the view while mostly being wasted" effect.
I enjoyed reading this thread and seeing everyone's viewpoints expressed.
But the term 'free faps' dropped by CreamMeAgain was an absolute banger, and I will remember it forever. Especially because I too have over 1,000 photos people can look at, and by all means, can free fap to anytime they want.

I think you hit the nail on the head with people wanting to share mainstream content to socialize more and make connections, find friends and socialize here more. Which is what I love about forum convos about mainstream scenes. They can evoke fun conversation about WAM that can bring us closer together.
There is something unusually special to this. I have been on this site since the beginning so I am used to it, but Andi actually commented on this the other day. Another forum member had lost a family member and was thanking the community for their support during his difficult time. That is just not something that happens on porn/fetish sites in general. People come to find fap material and that is it. Here you actually can make connections with other people that go beyond the fetish itself. We have had conversations with many people that had nothing to do with sploshing. They have shared facts about their personal lives, and some we have even met in person. It sounds really odd when you say it out loud, but it is true; there is something different going on here! And even just the fact that this forum still exists when the whole format seems to be a dying out. It is just kinda cool to me

Free fap describes like, my entire self pleasuring experience apart from the last year when I finally had the disposable income to pay for scenes lol. I remember beating off several times to the YouTube previews of the TopGunge Christmas specials and repeatedly rewinding for a ~2 second clip of Lisa getting gunged in a red evening gown.
Later on, once I discovered maxi dresses (I think I've finally established that WAM got me into maxi dresses, as much as I wish it was just a hot teacher in one), there was a very blurry preview pic that I couldn't even expand on the MW site of a scene where Shell takes a gunge bath wearing one, and she's standing next to the bath covered in gunge and pouring more down the front of her dress with a condiment bottle.

CreamMeAgain said: But what really, really confuses me about this, is the fact that there is so much free content on this site from the other users.
I too have tons of free pics and a couple videos on my profile, trouble is, I ain't all that and a bag of potato chips.
And speaking on the mainstream stuff, I like to see it too, it's nice to get free stuff, I don't mind paying for content, but I can't buy EVERYTHING, so freebie scenes here and there are nice...kind of why I share, I'm not in this to make a buck, although it would be nice, but honestly, nobodies gonna buy from me. If a couple people are into my freebies, then hey, that's cool. I've got a small fan base that I'm grateful for.

I'm definitely a the head needs to be covered man but this effect always used to annoy me too, would create quite the disappointing coverage.
