Hey everyone - I'm stuck trying to find an old video I saw on YouTube years ago.
The clip was at the end of a variety-like talk show or something, on a tv stage. There was a tall woman holding a pie surrounded by a couple men. The schtick was that she was going to pie one of them and was super excited about it. And right before, the man in front of her pushed the pie up into her face. Roll the credits.
It has a similar look as the Moe Howard pieing the mannequin bit but that's not it.
Any ideas??? At this point it's one of those nagging things you can't find but saw once. Not a super outstanding clip, but fun!
The clip you're looking for is from the 80's show "Real People". The woman you're referring to is Sarah Purcell. There were 5 seasons of the show, and only the first two are currently on YouTube. That scene is not in the first two seasons. I looked. So, at least you now have a place to start.
I loved that show and Sarah Purcell. Another video from that show was when Sarah was attempting to spin a log in a pool and splash she went into the pool, coming up she quickly (sadly) covered up her now transparent blouse!
MaxEffort said: Messygirl is going to own a great niche market recreating messy scenes from mainstream television, like this one, hopefully.
He hasn't QUITE owned that market over the last 18 years....
Also, is this really a great scene? Sarah gets a half-hearted pie "pushback" that misses a fair amount of her face, then the poor Black guy is actually the one who really gets it over the credits.

Anybody out there care to see a video where four pretty young women cover each other with shaving cream? Just me, then?
(Fun fact: the poor Black guy is now a billionaire.)
Thank you for identifying this clip and CKCP for posting!!
But I gotta admit, I don't think this is what I'm thinking of so either I am remembering it wrong (Michael Scott) or it's something else.
The setup and characters are similar, but the camera view was higher, not straight on, and the video had a bright white/blue instead of the yellow/red. And the woman's dress was more of a blouse/skirt. No cart and whipped cream fight afterwards. And like the pie was made the whole time.
Weird. Ever get a clip totally wrong in your memory??
