Hi all! Thought I'd share a little anecdote with you!
Found some leather riding boots that looked a little tatty and old on Facebook market place for £10 in my size so decided to buy them just to trash them and see what it's like! Most of the time I wear wellies or rubber riding boots but these were some tall dressage style boots with a zip up the back! They were so comfy on my feet and fit like a glove! Went straight to my local mud place to try them out! Stepped in the shallow part and sank to just about my ankle, I started to feel the water that was sitting on top of the mud seep into the zips of my boots! Then I went to the deeper part and sank to the top of my thighs! The boots immediately filled with smelly mud and water! Then I tried to get out and the boots were INSANELY heavy like 10x heavier than a pair of wellies! I struggled for ages, every time I thought I was getting free I just sank deeper! After about 15 minutes I became free! Even though it was kinda scary it was a lot of fun and I think I'll have to do it again!
Anybody else noticed this when wearing leather boots in mud?
