Although this forum is about to get wet and messy, I do have personally a preference to stay dry in my leather heeled boots whilst I walk in water and mud.
I love the idea of being able to walk where ever I /women wants in dressy look and do not care because the boots will be able to cope with the conditions Plus feeling the pressure of the water on the leather whilst staying dry is quite exciting
Hopefully I am not the only one on this forum with this orientation in our common passion
With the time and experience I found out that some paire of boots (especially well made ones) without zipper can be pretty waterproof. For example this pair of boots below from the brand "lfreelance". I was able to play during many minutes in knee deep sloppy mud or knee deep in some flooded area without having a single drop of water inside !
Can you share with us your experience and how some of your leather / fashion boots are waterproof ?
Boots are a big interest to me. My wife has soaked and sometimes muddied her boots with different results. Her pull on leather boots would stay dry the longest when we went on river wades for fun and she always enjoyed going over the tops to really flood them. Her sidezip boots didn't do so well keeping water out but that was part of the fun testing them ! I remember she had put a couple of pairs of boots over the bath rack to drip dry as had shared a fully clothed bath together night before , her mother dropped by next day for a cuppa and went to the bathroom to be confronted by the boots and some of our wet clothes still on the floor ! We made the excuse we had fallen accidentally in the bath but it was so unconvincing , her mother got wise to our " fun" and even tried it herself to see what it was all about !!
haha thanks a lot for sharing your story with her mother. That must have been funny and ambarassing at the same time !
Always great to see how pull on boots are performing ! myself I tend to avoid zipper boots as the would fore sure leak through the zipper unless there is a gusset on the back !
