I have noticed that when I log into the UMD, it never refreshes from the last visit. It will show I have messages that I know I have read, and the threads are not updated. I have to refresh the page several times to get it to 'catch up'.
Also, when I press 'accept all' friend requests, it never does.
Using Firefox by the way. Hate Chrome
I uploaded a couple of videos last night, but they ain't there yet. I assume they are being vetted.
i use firefox too. I suppose it might be the way firefox is coded? The first time it happened i was in shock... i thought my posting had vanished??? it might be slightly inconvenient to "refresh" my browser, but that one little extra step seems to work (i don't really worry about that so much anymore...)
It might be a setting in firefox that is keeping the site cached , may need to look into your specific settings and uncheck a persistence box something alone those lines not too familiar with the current build of fire fox . I would also make sure you have the latest version of Fire fox as with most browsers some older features quit working when the new ones are released. Hope this helps you some.
Edit , did some rough research it seems you are not alone , Firefox has issues reloading the cache it seems to be a wide spread problem with the application as there are several people reporting the same issues as you with firefox not refreshing the page and reloading the cache of the site that you are visiting, Only fixes i see are to Force reload a sites cache by reloading the page or a force reload command. I don't see any permanent fixes however sorry.
Behind the scenes, the pages of UMD tell your browser that it's up to the browser to decide how it wants to handle caching. But on any request, we are feeding you new pages. If your browser doesn't ask for them you'll just see old pages.
Hard-refresh is an immediate solution (Shift-F5 on Mac and Ctrl-F5 on Windows)... Here is some more info. But it really sounds like your whole browser is affected by that bug that Mhop mentioned. Sorry I don't have much more to add
