According to the article she may have something cute and the pic suggests maybe something messy planned for her set.
She has a history of The whip cream bra and a cake dive. Maybe she has something planned.
I'd say a SLIM chance, but if you weren't going to watch the Super Bowl, maybe check online afterwards.

Look at the picture. Katie Perry has some kind of cream applied to her face. Applied, like a skin treatment. Behind her is a mannequin head wearing those eye things you wear when under a tanning bed. Where would we find all of these elements in one place?
Fellows, I posit that the woman is in a SPA, getting a facial treatment in preparation for her being broadcast over millions of televisions in the unforgiving HD format.
Not to rain on a parade, but every now and then you need to take off the WAM blinders and see a situation for what it is.
Of course, if her halftime show involves a 12 minute pie fight I will be just as sprung as the rest of you pervs.

Well, I certainly hope so. If your prerecorded vocal track is out of tune, you REALLY have issues.
On the plus side, I think I'm gonna save a ton of money by quitting LSD in favor of watching Katy Perry performances. Brighter colors... More singing beach balls.

I don't know what networks you guys used to watch the superbowl, but I watched it at the TKL clinical research facility (where I am currently housed*) and the sound quality was utterly horrible.
Since TKL has a premium entertainment system, I highly doubt that TKL's equipment is the problem.
It almost sounded like the half-time show was being broadcast over speakers that the network hadn't properly calibrated it's microphones to, which resulted in sound quality so poor that it was impossible to hear the lyrics...
*I'm currently being paid $6,000.00 to participate in a nineteen-day clinical research trial where TKL examines the effectiveness of needle-less injection systems by injecting saline and a tracer into my rear-end and then taking biopsies of the injection site.
If any of you employ a needleless injection system in the future, you can thank me an my rear-end...

Half time splosh at the Superbowl? Never gonna happen. The big business types afraid of upsetting middle America would put the kibosh on that. You have to understand that they consider their customers to be on the puritanical side of the line. They got caught out by the Jackson/Timberlake premeditated stunt (otherwise why would she be wearing nipple covers?) The sight of a bare nipple on American TV is enough to set the stock markets into a downward spiral.

Perry's halftime show took me back to my childhood watching H.R. Pufnstuf (in syndication, anyway).
In that show, everything was alive and talked. The trees talked, a flute talked, the houses talked, the rugs talked, the brooms talked, the doors talked.
The guys who created that show must've been tripping.

Given that I was making a joke at my own expense and setting myself for more such jokes, I'm honestly surprised that this "pass(ed) without comment" considering that I'm literally "making money with my rear end"...
To further the self-deprecating-jokes, given how much the rear-end biopsies HURT
(and they're taking them all from my right cheek, so only one side hurts), I'm convinced that "making money with your rear-end" in the more conventional interpretation of that phrase (aka. prostitution) would be easier and less painful
