These two linking scenes follow Jayce and Jilly's attempt to act like ladies and give up getting messy. They blame Ariel for their woes and agree to quit working for her.
But everytime one of them turns round..the other gets hit with a pie and they blame each other! Till they are both well covered in pie.
In the second scene the clothes come off but the pies continue to fly, and then they discover Ariel is throwing all the pies..so they strip her naked and cover her with pies too!
