has anyone else got a weird anomaly today?

My inbox says 20 new messages, and my notifications say 1 new message.

But actually the truth is that its one new message and 20 new notifications!

My inbox said 2 messages this morning, it's now reached 8... even though it's days since I had a PM and they've all been read...
I thought it was weird too, but hadn't got round to reporting to MessMaster, but it's probably more helpful for him to have everything in one place now the thread's started, that way, he has an easy way to see the extent of the problem...

I've got the same thing, Inbox alert says 2 unread messages but there are no unread messages in the inbox.

I had the same thing a little earlier; it said I had 13 P.M.'s, and no new notifications!

Turned out, no new P.M.'s and 13 new notifications!

Before I had a chance to say anything, it seems to be corrected.

I've had some of that but it went away.

Some of the problem seems to have returned today. When I had a message, I got a +1 over my notifications instead of my inbox. After checking my messages, my inbox is currently indicating "-1".

I've been updating that system over the past week, and the number should be accurate now. The unread inbox number, believe it or not, was slowing the entire site down a bit.

Everything seems back to normal now.

I had a couple of problems last week. My inbox said I had a new message, but all my messages were read. I also had a spell where when a video was sold, I got an email, and it registered in my sales, and I got paid for it, but it didn't appear in my notifications.

The "-1" on my inbox has returned.

I also have -1 new messages at the moment!
