In August I threw the 10th anniversary of my annual Lingerie Rave I do for my birthday, and decided to unify my rave promotion and cakeporn brands. It ended up being a big success and a lot of people who'd never heard of the sploshing interest ended up going home with a new fetish I promoted almost entirely to the rave and bdsm scenes in Phoenix, and got a pretty good turn out. My partners are a little hesitant to do another cake-themed party because cleanup was a little rough on the venue, but if I was to do so, would anybody be willing to travel for it?
I've been throwing raves since feb 2007, so I've kinda got it down to a science My two biggest every year are my foam party in march and my lingerie party every August. I'm almost thinking of combining the cake theme with the foam party in march and making it DOUBLE MESSY.

I'm not a fan of az politics, but can't beat the quality of life to cost of living ratio, and our electronic music scene is amazing. As far as music types, most of my events center around higher BPM, Happy/UK Hardcore, Hardstyle, Jungle, and Drum 'n Bass.

Brilliant idea but sadly in the UK.
I may end up doing just such a thing... a lot of my celebrity guest cupcake throwers etc are from the UK Hardcore scene. DJ Brisk, Al Storm and others have participated in my shoots. Alex Prospect is set to do so in October for a show I have him booked for here in Phoenix.
I'd be glad to go were I not epileptic. Unfortunately, epilepsy and raves do not mix well at all. Nor do wheelchairs and raves from all I've been able to gather.

Our age range goes from 18-60. I'm 36 and am still at it. My dad, who took me to my first electronic music event when I was roughly 14 (he was djing that night) actually still comes to the events and still DJs at them once in a while. You can hang out with us in the old area lol. The club scene is different... people there are quite judgy usually.. the rave scene tends to welcome everybody with open arms.
Oh very much a difference, although from time to time a club is rented out by a promoter to throw a rave type event where only the crowd the promoter reaches out to is the target crowd. For most of my rave careeer I used more underground style venues, converted warehouses etc. Now I often use bars/concert venues because our crowd has gotten older and serving alcohol is almost a requirement.
