wamajama said: Back in the day...I was often worried about how hard or soft to throw or push a pie...this concern/worry was due to my first-ever wam shoot: Tabitha said to me after her shoot was over that "A couple of those pies were thrown pretty hard...one of them kind of hurt." I hadn't even thought of this possibility; her comment kind of upset me, to which she replied that she was surprised that i would be so concerned about hurting her...to which I said, 'Well, it's supposed to be messy and fun...I'm so sorry -- I didn't mean to hurt you." (Seeing my concern, she was cool about it, and assured me she was OK and not mad)...later, shooting Ivy's 'Splash' video, the tag gag was a pushed pie in the face...it was an expensive bakery pie and I wanted it to be a good hit, so I pushed it with what I thought was the appropriate amount of force...but even the moderate force was enough to push her head back and bump the shower wall...to her credit, she did not complain on camera, but afterwards, she told me that it 'hurt' (and I could see she was almost upset/near tears, which shocked me a bit). I apologized to her (sincerely)...and we smoked a peace pipe full of KGB. She was a great model, but also a bit of a 'snowflake'. Those are just two examples; there were other of lesser impact or import. Since I did not do that many shoots, and none too close together in time, I would often forget about this 'pie force' factor and miscalculate the throwing/pushing force...each time I worked with a model (and did a pie gag) -- usually two years apart -- I would find myself re-learning this slapstick lesson all over again (sometimes a good hit, sometimes a weak one). Alas, I never got as consistent with my 'hits' as Moe Howard, or Rich. Practice makes perfect. Here are the two hits that I referenced (Ivy, Tabitha):
If you're a producer, model safety and happiness is job #1. If your models aren't happy after the shoot, you're gonna have a pretty short career. Not only won't they return, but they could get the word out to their network of models to avoid working with you.
This is a great comment. It's why before I hire any model, I send them several video examples of exactly what they're going to be doing. If I even get the hint that something in the shoot is over their comfort level, I stop and address the issue.
With that said, you have to hire the right model for the job. Earlier on my in career, anyone hot who replied "yes" got booked. Now I'm a bit more thorough.
There's another aspect no one can legislate for - delayed reaction - and it doesn't only apply to pies, it can apply to any aspect of WAM, and any aspect of modelling.
For example, a model can be absolutely fine with something when it's explained to them beforehand, fine during, and fine immediately afterwards, but they can still be traumatised by it a few hours, days or weeks later. Or it can be a cumulative effect over months or years. It's one of the reasons why we lose models and sessioners.
Basically, if you have to question yourself or the model before you do something, it's probably better not to do the "something" at all.

100% dead on true. I've lost models in the past after shoots where they claimed everything was great and they were really happy - some simply ghosted me when I asked if they'd do another session.
It's why I only tend to work with pro fetish models with at least one full year of experience and prefer models who have done work that's more aggressive than what I'm doing.
We commented on Macy Nikole - perfect example. She does hard-core bondage shoots, so for her, a WAM shoot is like a day off. Same with Kody (other girl in my example) she also does a lot of bondage work, so same mentality when doing pies - easy peasy.
To the opposite effect, you get these snowflake "fetish" models who really don't want to do fetish work. They wanted to do runway, print ads, fashion shows but when that didn't work out, their attitude became "well shit, I guess I have to do some fetish stuff." I don't work with those girls.
One easy barometer I use is promotion. I want to plaster promos all over the net. When I get even a hint of push back on that, they're not pros, they're not even into doing anything fetish related - then you risk "can you please take that down" months, a year down the road - and that's a no from me.
There are two things I look for in a good solid pie hit. It's the sound and hair flow. There is a certain thump sound a solid hit makes. Like the air is being sucked out from the pressure of the hit. I get this from thrown pies with cool whip. This also translates with the hair flowing back from a solid hit with thrown or pushed pies.
Lane was the best at taking a solid pie hit. I've pied many a girl, but she ranks on the top. I would like to add Mrs Bee to my top 3 list as well. Mrs Bee told me to not hold back when I pied her. As you can see in her pics, the results speak for themselves. Also, not many guys out there can say they pied the famous Mrs. Bee. Amy is also in my top three.
I'm in for a forceful hit, both giving and receiving but again, I don't want anyone to get hurt if we can come away smiling and the person around them and or the wall got some pie too then it's all good!

Some of your pie hits are fantastic, especially the rat-a-tat ones where you pie her about 5 times, each one a second apart, each one landing plum each time.
However, your more recent videos have a new style. The Kerri Taylor vid, where you pull her hair back to position her face is very hot, as is the nonchalent manner in which the pies in that scene are delivered.
