Watcher only-
As far as I know I have absolutely zero desire whatsoever to get messy. I know from experience that I've gotten hard from being wet fully clothed, and I could THEORETICALLY see myself getting turned on from getting messy, but by no means is it a part of my bucket list or something.
In the same vein, I also have zero desire to do the messing either. If I'm viewing a video for my own pleasure, unless I would be operating some sort of remote control that controls everything offscreen, I would rather not see myself on camera lol.

This is a difficult one, on one hand, I would love nothing more to suffer a complete trashing from my good lady, or someone else for that matter, but then equally, I absolutely love to see a well-dressed lady, getting completely destroyed, be that by me directly, by someone else, seeing someone else completely destroyed can be just as exciting, just as hot, as being completely destroyed yourself.
I'll have to give the Giving and Receiving much deeper thought

I enjoy the "giving" side of sploshing - the pieing or messing up element is good fun, and definitely more so if the recipient either sees the funny side or shares the enjoyment.
However I like the tit for tat element in that I find it's fun for them to have their revenge on me. If it's something they enjoy then even better (like "I've always wanted to pie someone" or "you deserve a good gunging").
If the other person gets zero enjoyment out of messing me up, then that's a bit of a turn off - I don't want to get messy just for the sake of it.

I definitely like to get messy, and messed up by someone. They don't have to get messy but if they do/want to then that's fine too.
For me it's all about the build up, so forfeit games are fantastic, and can be rigged to make it harder for me to 'win'.
Watching does nothing for me, and staying clean while messing someone up is not my thing though I have done it.

I'm a pure spectator/creator/puppet string puller. I don't need sploshing in my personal life nor do I particularly crave relationships with those I watch. I just want to set it up and watch the ladies knock it down. The best way I've found to describe it to people is that I love to watch football but I don't need my friends to be football players nor do I want to have my own head bashed in by 300-pound men.

How about a switcher upper? Some days I want to obliterate her, some days I want her to destroy me, and on the odd occasion I want us both to just be playfully messy. I introduced her with the latter but we definitely play more as splosher and sploshee, though honestly it's rare for one to stay completely clean! With different people and environments, I could definitely settle into any of the survey options, but I guess balanced participant is the one I plump for

I started out as someone who just liked to watch. Always dreamed of being able to dish out a nice sliming to a girl, then one day I got to do a session with MyPierogative...It was wonderful to be able to apply the mess myself in the way I wanted it to be done...ever since it's really never been in the cards or come up as an opportunity again...hair is my thing, seeing short hair get messy was never really anything that did anything for me...so I grew my own hair out, did make up and started getting myself messy...In an ideal world I'd love to dish out a proper hair sliming/gunging and receive one.

Growing up I used to watch get your own back in the off chance that there would be a woman participating. Let alone an attractive one. Now the idea that a stunning buxom model will get sploshed naked with all manner of messy substances is just wonderful.
So in a perfect world I'd be the gunger, failing that another man (Mostly offscreen) can do it then girls gunging girls is fun but I find when a model sploshes another model they seldom do it well.

I enjoy the visual aesthetics, but not in a sexual way, more the play of light and camera work.
Have recently got a little involved in Dawn's LIVE TT shows though, which I have to admit is very fun (but again, not in THAT way)...
Not been gunged yet, which I want to try, but I have 'being able to breathe' issues so we're thinking snorkeling mask would work... but there are nerves there for sure....
Right now, mainly Splosher Only I guess....

Why do you think models don't tend to give it out very well? Is it down to technique, enthusiasm, or maybe a lack of experience in the role?
Are there specific examples of sploshings you've seen where one really nailed it and another fell flat? What makes the difference between a "good" and "bad" sploshing in this context?

I did a poll a while back about nudity, where, given the nudity that's very common with all the major producers, I expected full nudity or clothed to nude to be the two most popular choices, so I was blown away that fully clothed was, by far, the winner.
I suspected, though, that those preferences in the poll reflect a different group than the preferences of those who pay money for content... because if nudity didn't sell, I don't think it would be as prevalent in the content.
There's probably a similar effect happening with preferences for the role played.
I always love polls like this, because it's interesting to see how similar and how different people can be in their tastes!

We haven't done this by games thus far, though I have wanted to a few times. I tend to initiate in either role, or simply by asking her if she's interested in getting messy together. I'd love for her to set something up but we're at very different levels in that aspect at the mo. So I act upon how I feel and see if we're aligned.

Personally not at all. As I mentioned the idea of me getting messy is a huge turn off, as is the idea of a man being on the receiving end. I can't enjoy anything coed when there's male mess. But I am a weirdo to be fair

I choose balanced, although the scales of WAM are rather unbalanced here. I don't get many opportunities ti dish it out, nor indeed do anything other than solo play. Maybe I should seek out a session or two. Essentially living a fantasy is enjoyable, and if you get the chance a shared gungetank experience is a giggly squirmy sensation!
When it comes to videos, is visual impact more important than sensation? A small amount of custard down the back will give more of a reacion than the whole carton over the head, but the former isn't much visually. I don't know how much direction models are given, and some substance choices don't lend themselves to coverage.

I've been on a bit of a journey with this. Once upon a time, I was fixated on watching others getting gunged and whilst I was curious, I never really had much desire to be the one getting sploshed.
As I've gotten older, I've shifted. I've gotten messy a few times and have loved it. As I've looked at other kinks, I've shifted now from watching people getting tied up etc. to craving being the one to be tied up. And the same has happened with splosh.
I get the feeling that as I continue my journey, my kink will continue to develop. I'll no doubt return to wanting to splosh someone else soon.
