Also, 1tb feels a little small for 4K scratch space; I would suggest at least doubling it (plus you hopefully have somewhere to back it all up to). Good call on the Intel SSD though.

Ah yes, the aliens shoot. Wait... what? You all must have shot a lot of stuff! BTW, love the sharp green hues in the first few mud pics. Reminds me of an unknown fav from the early days of internet WAM (see below -- apologies to whoever's watermark was blacked out) -- actually felt compelled to print that one out on a color printer back then. I'm guessing the green in your mud at least is a result of the sunlight coming through all that lush foliage, but it would be really cool if the mud itself was that color! Anyway, thank you for all the great pics and GIFs!!
