So I've been working on this for months, this is really not for everyone and you have to use your imagination a bit. but I remember someone asking about WAM in video game, and the lack of video games where you can get a character messy is kinda of sad... maybe one day.
but in the mean time, with the character creator of WWE2k19 I was able to create something decent I think, I'm really doing this for myself, but I thought their might be someone who like me grew up playing video game and always wanted a game where you can get a female character messy
The cool thing is with the character creator you there's thousands of choices when it comes to clothing and hair and (Personally) I think you can make some pretty gorgeous girls (Even though the graphics are not the best)
I still have in game limitation as to what I can do, but I can give the illusion like it was a feature in the game all along. There's a whole story line behind the pictures, but I'm too lazy to type it and I don't think anyone cares lol
here are some Random examples there are a ton more, but I just wanted to you guys some.
There is a YouTube channel who does animations of 3D stuff like this. It's called 3D Slimer. I recommend checking it out. It's pretty good quality three dimensional WAM. Here's a link to one of their vids: https://youtu.be/16FKDEIjpMg (credit to owner)
It would take an while to explain everything. you need to experiment like I did with the image system in the game, you gotta keep in mind that you have a limitation of 60 images, but it's still plenty.
in Short:
Use group images to save space.
you can only give a different material (texture) to the in game stickers, there's one.
Use Emboss to try to give a 3d effect to whole thing.
I love the WWE games! I've had fun with 2k20 even with all of its problems. Your CAWs look fantastic!! I love the textures you were able to create! I would be interested in the storyline if you want to post it or maybe just a short version if it is too much to type out.
Other than that, a couple of Senran Kagura games could work: In Bonne Appetit, the loser girl would be made into dessert Peach Beach Splash sure covers the wet side of things
Yeah, some kind of custom wam scene generation tool, fully loaded with camera movements and all kinds of poses and animations. Nice, but I think that kind of project would be a bit too big right now. The thing I'm starting with is some kind of female character editor with a few ways to get her messy. Don't expect too much, I hope to get my first prototype together in summer 2020, which is gonna be very basic. But I like getting input for my roadmap.
To me the fascination of wam is partly due to the surprise. The element of "no you wouldn't" and "watch out, you are wearing your best clothes". And I like being surprised by girls, be it strangers or friends who are wearing pretty clothing I haven't seen yet and then imagination kicks in.
So I think there are two usecases: A) I know exactly what I want her to look like and wear because I have seen it in the real world B) surprise me, inspire me
For A I'm working on a character editor, but it's very time consuming. B is much easier to solve, I'm working on some kind of "tinder swipe" thing.
The other thing is: I think it would need limitations. Say limited "messy substances" or limited money to spend on food and clothes, so you gotta chose wisely. But for like 2 years I'm kinda stuck on the question of "how do I earn money/messy ammo"? A card game? A spin the wheel? Real micropayments?
But I think if all resources were endless it would be as much fun as playing GTA in god mode.
I like what you did with the WWE2k19. Can you also put those decals on the divas that come with the game?
I do a great deal of 3d WAM stuff on my DeviantArt and Patreon. No videos like VRWam, just stories and stills. Mostly medieval fantasy settings, but some modern stuff. I did a series of an imagined celebration for Nikki Bella taking the belt, on the WWE subject. Below, you see Paige and AJ taking it out over the cake.
