Hey guys! Been toiling away at the editing mine the last few days, and I'm pretty sure you're gonna love the results. Introducing Eden, a talented, 23 y/o LA actress who makes her messy debut in "Pie Training Workshop!"

It was really great to have a more polished actor on hand, someone so good at improvising and ad libbing their way through the slop You're gonna love meeting Eden in the pre-shoot interview (she was very bubbly and talkative) and she really bought into the concept of the video and sells the premise of wanting to "expand her opportunities for acting roles" So really the perfect storm of factors for a great pie video!

Wearing a retro inspired party dress, Eden starts out with some classic pie holding, the gigantic bakery-style shaving cream pie nearly as big as her head. She then delivers her first line and gets creamed with three, super splatter-y pies! This was the new recipe I finally used after several people requested/suggested it. Just some water mixed in to create more splatter...definitely more like whipped cream but with the staying power of shaving cream

Eden naturally created the arc of the video with her ad libs, saying things after each pie hit like, "Aright! Now that's how you take a pie!", kinda implying that each pie would be the last. But slowly that cheery exterior begins to wear down under the barrage of colorful pudding pies (15 total), many of them exploding in her open mouth. Once the chunky pink slime starts to fall, Eden is at a breaking point. Looking directly up at the stream, she ends up with some in her mouth It's at that point that she's had enough, but the pies keep flying and the slime keeps dropping until finally she's begging for this "class" to end! Of course it was all in good fun, and there's plenty of laughing and smiling in the outtakes.

So there you have it! You won't believe how the second scene turned out (possibly my best slime scene to date), but we'll save that for another day I'm sure this one will delight for now.

I would love to know what those models think just prior to getting messed and assume it ranges from 'it's a job', easy money, to 'am I really about to do this...?'
Equally post gunging do they walk away feeling mortified, or 'that was fun' or 'I can't believe what just happened.. '

One thing is for sure, if this isn't your fetish, it's a hell of a brave thing to do.

Well you don't want the models who are barely on board with the shoot, thinking they can just show up and get paid. They won't take direction well or stay in character if it's a scripted scene. Fortunately it almost always works out where the models who want to shoot are the ones who think it'll be fun! These are the best models and Eden was in this camp, for sure.

You know it might've been closer to 20%- my SMD (Splatter Measuring Device) has been a little off ever since I dropped it into a bucket of slime

Thanks Chuck! That's essentially been my working methodology right there...lots of pies (and/or slime) over and over and over and over...it's total messy annihilation for me or nothing!


They are and they aren't. Both cities are full of transplants from other places. In NYC, only some of the modelss I shot were born and raised in the area (Destiny, Angie, Grace and Andreana to name a few...). Most were on modeling tours or had relocated there, including a few from California (Amber, Julianne, Hannah, Megan and Gianna).

Now would I have been able to shoot a model with the same temperament and skillset as Eden (an LA girl born and raised with well polished acting skills) in NYC? I feel like not. There the model/actors are more geared towards the stage and "serious" acting; they're usually not down for a silly pie video It's a callous place in general, as you might have heard.

LA is the entertainment capital of the world, so the models/actors here have a different perspective on the projects and shoots that are out there. Eden actually pushed back our shoot that day to attend a last minute audition before coming by to get nailed with 15 pies and slimed multiple times Seemed like truly a day in the life of an LA model/actress to me!

Actual serious question: Are you finding the rates for L.A. models significantly higher?

I ask because I've reached out to a handful of L.A. models over the years, but never pull the trigger because their rates start at $1000/day minimum (and that's before booking the cross-country flight) which makes it a pricey gamble. And I've also known two producers who relocated to L.A. and later complained to me that the higher model rates were killing them.

That said, I suspect NYC rates weren't cheap either, based solely on what rent on a one-bedroom costs.

Well you know what they say- moving to LA, everything is more expensive, unless you moved from NYC! The bargains we get here are basically rent and car insurance, while the price of gas is wayyy higher (gas tax). The modeling rates are similar across the two cities, but I always like playing Moneyball anyway and finding undervalued talent versus established models with inflated rates

Good job. I think you found the winning formula, at least I hope so.

Aww dang for a moment I was hoping that meant you were switching from shaving cream to whipped. Still an improvement is an improvement, and I totally get the advantages of shaving cream... it just doesn't personally do it for me. Maybe I'm in the minority there though. Do you think you'll ever do shoots with whipped cream pies? Anyway love your videos still, your slimes and your models, keep up the great work!

Rich, just for fun. Have you looked for actresses or models in Chicago. Cost of living is high, but not like NYC or SoCal. it is a Southwestern hub.

I think the prices will be lower if you'd look for actors, which will do jobs at different starting ranges and models, who expect a certain wage.

I think that looks matter the most, and placing acting in the second place make all the difference.

Would be happy to hear some more feedback and/or suggestions for future scenes with Eden...methinks this model will be making a return appearance

I think different things matter to individual people.
e.g. I'd be happy with an unedited version (uninterrupted and with green background), raw everything. The edit is really really good, but nice to have on my part.

I'd be happy with more humiliation / fake / baby crying.

There are two great scenarios that I always think about producing.

- A new TV presenter for a kids show that finds out the audience at home keeps getting her messy. (in other versions, they show how to make a cake and use her face as a bowl, or she is tricked into painting herself into some part she doesn't want to do - like smurfette or wicked witch).

- An actor who keep doing the punishment scene at the end of a kids movie.

- An high-school girl that tried to rig the prom queen / student president election / set up a bunch of traps and then gets stuck, having everything released on her.

All projects that I had thoughts about, but have yet to film myself.

BTW the slime, especially the second one looks amazing. very good close up shot of disgusted reactions.

I don't know if I'd wish a longer pause between the pies or having them one after another.
e.g. the blue one looked great and everything after that has created a great color pattern.

I think your slime is among the best available. Nice chunkiness, satisfying splatter, perfect coverage. You definitely know what you're doing!
