I wouldn't have thought so - Doctor Who's profile is high enough that I'd assume she's "protected" from indignities such as being gunged - but keep your fingers crossed just in case...
Jodie won't actually be in the studio, just a pre-recorded segment with Hacker, so that rules her out. Max and Harvey also appear to be a pre-recorded item also, so it looks like it could be just Houssein and So Awkward cast
Not to mention that the pies were of rubbish quality. They looked really...dry? Even the presenters looked a bit surprised at how crap they were. Hopefully that's fixed in the coming weeks.

I know zero about 'So Awkward' but the interwebs say that actor Jamie Flatters is 18 is he up for the vote?

And was it just me, or was the slime used today not as thick as they used during the summer or last year?
Wasn't just you but the pies were also bad, maybe since they haven't done a studio version for a while they are a bit rusty, more reason why mash-up should be on all year round.
ABCD123456 said: On the female presenters Instagram, she said that there will be 17 more episodes. By my math, this means that Mashup will be going well into January. Thats alot of time for them to improve their gunge quality and potential victims. Personally, id love to that youtuber chick who got pied in their first episode last year get it.
Ooh, yeah the upcoming guests were returning guests that had already been gunged or pied, I want new victims, I mean celebs. The only new guests were the dumping ground actors but they're underage.
Scrap that a singer called HRVY will be on it, he was on it last year but wasn't pied or gunged
For all those wondering the upcomig guests are New Hope Club HRVY The pets factor vets.
ABCD123456 said: The pets factor vets, both male and female dodged it last time, because LOLBOYBANDGUNGED. Heres hoping we get a different outcome. I dont know if we'll have multiple get it with the new format, but you never know. Did you get all this from the BBC website?
No in the show itself they do a little segment where they tell you who's coming up so not sure what weeks there will be on.
The title also mentions Olly Murs (If only) but I think it is unfortunately a pre recorded item so not in the studio.

The Good news is that they have added another guest for tomrrow's episode. Ben shires who is a cbbc presenter, and he always wears suits and or a tie so anyone that is a fan of that, tomrrow is your day.
Bad news is that, I've googled the vlogger's I've never heard of and they are both underage so episode 3 is a all underage show unless they get a over 18 actor from the dumping ground but the segment showed a bit with the underage actors so guessing they're the one in episode 3.

I love this thread . Its a kids tv show guys. If someone you like gets messy great. If not youve got hundreds of quality videos (Aimed at you from fetish producers). Dont get so hung up and offended when a show not aimed at you doesnt cater to your fetish
It's not so much about catering to a fetish. It's about the anticipation of the event. Personally, producers' stuff really doesn't do anything for me. Not that their videos are bad, but their singular purpose is straightforward. I liken it to eating fish. Some people are perfectly fine with going to the market and purchasing a fish for dinner, which is fine for most people. More power to them. But for me, the fish I catch is far more tasty than a fish that I just bought. Even though it's harder to catch a mainstream clip, it's the journey of catching it that is far more satisfying than just buying it.
I totally get that. What i dont get is someone moaning because a KIDS tv show has guests that KIDS want to see. If you get what you like great but if you dont why moan?
Soooo gutted that ben didn't get it at the weekend as his pie was crap and deserved to get a gunging considering he's been involved in the past with the blue Peter gunge World record attempt and the world record show he presents
I remember the days of kids programming like live and kicking where they had good quality celebs. Saturday mash up has lower than z list people on show. I don't exodc5 the quality of celebs to get any better unfortunately

But the crucial thing is - they mean something to the target audiences of this show. The days of Live & Kicking are long gone, and the entertainment world is ever evolving. Take The Dumping Ground, for example - you may regard it as "just" a kids drama. But it gets hundreds of thousands of viewers, even on repeats. New episodes regularly end up in the top 5 download requests on iPlayer, pulling enough dls to rank alongside huge dramas like Bodyguard. Similarly, youtube views = celebrity to a lot kids now. So for the target audience, the quality IS good**
**An exception to this is the musical guests most of the time - often a hopeless boyband who'll probably never even get to a full album release. And in terms of bigger music guests...Salford isn't London, sadly. Dropping in on a Saturday morning just isn't as practical or easy, and there's not the budget to smooth that.
Personally, I think it's a great successor to the old days of Saturday morning shows.

You are right - and anyone who is bemoaning the fact that they don't know who the celebs are is, frankly, simply showing their age. And nothing has changed - my mum had no clue who half the guests were on Saturday Superstore (which is showing MY age!). We can't expect a kids show to have guests aimed at thirty year olds. I have no idea who half the guests are, but if I did, the show would ultimately be failing its core audience.
personally I think it would be better if they just had a gunge tank rather than throwing buckets. maybe that's because I'm a fan of gunge tanks and devices.
I personally like the buckets idea because it prolongs the gunging - with a gunge tank it seems to be all over very quickly. Also it takes a bit of time to 'build up' the mess, so you see their reactions to whats happening better in my opinion.
I'm sure it feels amazing as the gunge seeps through their clothes!
Having said that, I think the previous series was a much better format - the Road Trip gunging was particularly epic, and I really enjoyed the New Hope Club one too.
