Hi all, once we're out the other side, I'm thinking about losing my gunging virginity and would potentially plan to cross-dress when doing so. As a guy I'm a big fan of ladies in leather/wetlook and boots and would be interested to hear from those who've been gunged in leather/wetlook and/or boots what your thoughts are on what I should do?
For example does the leather mean the gunge slides off quicker than normal. And how messy do boots get?
A lot will depend on exactly what you get messy with, but regardless, if you get leather messy it wil permanently change it.
We did this scene with both girls in real leather jeans: https://umd.net/download_info/messy-lesbians-in-leather As you can see, they both got very messy. Afterwards we hosed the jeans down and then put them through the washing machine (no detergent, just hot water). They are still wearable and indeed Rosemary wore hers in a mud scene later the same year, however the leather is now much stiffer than it was before the messing, so unless someone has a fetish for wearing stiff leather, probably not suitable for wearing in normal social situaltions any more.
As for how messy boots get, that depends on how messy you make them? We tend to see leather footwear as disposable, they'll survive a few goes through the washing machine but eventually they start to fall apart at which point we bin them.
Thanks for the reply DM One, most appreciated. In term of the mess I was thinking Gunge/Slime in a tank, and it sounds like PU/Wetlook is better for durability when it comes to clothing?

Yes, generally PU can be happily washed in the washing machine with no ill effects. A lot of leather fetishists hate PU (especially when producers label something leather and it's obviously actually PU - we are very careful to always be accurate with our clothing descriptions) but as long as you're cool with it then it will give an effect very similar to leather from an experience point of view. The main thing with leather or PU is that they are waterproof, so the mess lands on the outside and you'll feel the weight and coldness, but not the wetness in the way you would in fabric clothing.
Wetlook fabric is something else, it's a bit like spandex and isn't waterproof, so you will feel the wetness coming through it.
I agree with DungeonMasterOne's comments. Aside from the general cost of leather outfits (especially if buying new), I found that even just getting them wet causes the dye to run and the leather to stiffen quite significantly, so pies/gunging/mud would probably be the kiss of death for any such clothing. PU would be your best option though don't expect most mess to stick to PU as it would compared to fabric-based clothes - thicker chunkier gunge will help. As an aside, all my non-leather outfits have survived the WAM treatment (except those where scissors suddenly appear on the scene!). Shoes and boots tend to be more durable and clean up pretty well but will eventually fall apart after continual abuse.
PU is better to use if you want to have an easier time of cleaning and longevity.
When it comes to boots I've gotten messy in both Patent leather and PU boots and cleaning is incredibly difficult if your boots have laces. If they have no laces then you just need to thoroughly wash them out and off. Treating your boots before hand with Waterproof protection make cleaning just that little bit easier.
Cleaning the zipper is key if your boots have no laces I have found in my experience. When the zipper fouls up it can be quite costly to get it replaced, also you run the chance of the cobbler asking you what you were up to. Again my experience.
Good luck though for there is nothing better than getting messy in boots and leather as a crossdresser.
In my view, leather was meant to get wet and messed up, and boots too. Having been to the 'Grunge Guy's' parties, nothin' hotter than seein' a bunch of leather-clad/booted dudes gettin' down and dirty in the mudpit. And leather cleans up pretty well, and you can always use leather conditioner to keep your leathers/boots in good shape. But I have to admit, abusing my gear is a real turn-on for me.....
