We did most things that were legal and were not gross or dangerous. We refused to do auto erotica customs because that is too dangerous (it killed actors David Carradine and Albert Dekker and musician Michael Hutchence) and we refused to do anything gross (such as the fetishes of Danny Coffee Table Thomas, Charles Laughton, Orson Welles and Cliff Richard). We only did the ones that were clean and safe, and paid a lot of money.
One of biggest sponsors Lenny and I had was a guy (who is since deceased) who paid our girls handsomely to do nothing more than put on and take off eye glasses. He would arrive with a big suitcase filled with 300 or so eye glasses and the model had to wear each eyeglass one time and then put on the next one.....very simple...and very well paid (the guy owned his own 20 acre movie studio in Hollywood and he leased his studio for 12 years to the NCIS tv series that shot all their studio scenes on his property).
But custom video people are very picky on how they want things done. We once did a custom "sneezing video" for a guy who wanted our model to sneeze continuously for 30 minutes and the girl did the best job she could at acting and sneezing....but in the end she ran out of sneezes after 15 minutes.....so I decided to be a smart arse and I added in some extra sneeze sound effects to finish out the video. The custom guy hated the video we made cos I used some fake sneeze sound effects.....but you try sneezing for 30 minutes straight....it s not easy.
I've refused several people who had the overall creepy persona (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about) but I have it stated clearly I won't do full frontal nudity or anything to do with my vagina (and it's a very long story involving being sexually assaulted and having gender dysphoria about it) - one person just refused to accept this and demanded to know why, demanded I do things because *he* said so, because *he* would be paying for it, etc etc. Got pretty abusive and aggressive about it. Arsehole.

I think you mean erotic asphyxiation, or else we'd all be dead.

It doesn't have to be, some producers pretty much crank out the same content over and over again to the point where if you seen one of their vids you pretty much seen them all. Those who are creative and do things totally different each time will be the fittest to survive.
