Yes, I know - "a longer period to download a clip". Ha ha.
I get that, but what's the point of it?
I've had notification of extra time to download some scenes I bought some months ago from a particular producer, and am puzzled as to why. I haven't asked them for an extension, as I downloaded the clips at the time.
Is the extension a kind of favour, where the producer's saying to me "You're such a good customer I'm going to give you some extra time"? Or is it a blanket thing rather than a personalised one, where they press the button on a particular scene and everyone who's ever bought it automatically gets the extension?
I'm certainly not complaining - if it was a personal gesture then it's quite sweet of the producer concerned - but I'm just a bit bemused by it.
it's an individual thing so probably a gesture I would have thought.. or maybe a misclick, I have done it before when someone had a problem with their internet so I gave them more time
If you'd not asked for a re-download then as Candy said it's probably a misclick, probably someone else perhaps had a hard drive crash and the producer meant to give them a chance to re-download but hit yours instead. Poss drop the producer in question a PM to let them know about the error?

Thanks for that. I will drop them a message, although I tried this first because the producer concerned has a very low profile - in fairness, I think I know why - and so I'm not sure they'll reply. However, I'll give it a go anyway.
There was an example earlier this year, where a video had the sound/picture out of sync. When I mentioned that to the producer, they fixed the problem, then gave an extension to everyone who'd bought the clip so that they could download the corrected version. https://umd.net/forums/when-mostwam-met-slymsfords-9-girl-pief?start=60

Maybe something similar here?
Thanks for the suggestion, but this is a bit different as there's nothing wrong with the clip. Moreover, I've checked and I actually bought it close to a year ago! I think it's probably a mistake, as per DM's post.
I have messaged the producer, and hopefully they'll come back to me.
