You're not wrong. I tended bar for long time and on several different occasions exchanged pies to the face (whip cream mostly but a couple times icing heavy cake on plates) with women who I was flirting with. A few I ending up becoming friends with benefits for a bit.
I would just say I think it's fun and sexy which they could tell was an honest/sincere answer and they went for it.
