There were some absolutely amazing people nominated for the awards this year. I think we all have to give Penny a massive round of applause for managing to get these awards on and to Baby Banks for creating some of the coolest awards I think I have ever seen.

I am genuinely super upset that I now cannot make it with work but I will be watching live if the event is still planning on being streamed live when I can.

To anyone who gave me their vote honestly I cannot thank you enough. Like I said on an earlier post everyone nominated for an award is already a winner to me. We have all worked super hard to create the content that everyone enjoys watching.

I never thought in a million years I would be even recognised for my content!

The news arrived in my UMD inbox. So, I suggest that if they don't message back in time to provide the clips you asked for and give consent, they should not be on the list.

But people nominate themselves? Really?

I suppose it does no harm...because I'm sure they need more than their own vote to win anything!

I think if there was more time given, the general public community could have played a more active role in making the nominations. But there is so much content every day that may easily spread and any category may have nominations that had no more than 1 vote for it resulting in 40 different scenes for each category. Then the winner would have needed just 2 votes. All hypothetical but I think the process can definitely be explored for some improvements. Another note - how can somebody vote for a scene if they don't own it or have never seen in before? Just a thought.

In this instance, we actively encouraged self-nomination, precisely because of the short time frame. As mentioned elsewhere, the opportunity to team up with Ginger Johnson for her Drag Splosh extravaganza, and host the festival in such a wonderful theatre was too great a pull to turn down. However it did come at the cost of time.
Despite this, we do feel a broad enough cross section of nominees were represented (even better than the first Messtival, I would posit). We, of course, ultimately aim to make the entire process as inclusive and supportive as possible, and more time for all aspects to unfold more organically will likely be the key to that.
Having gone through the votes carefully, it does appear that nearly everyone skipped voting in categories where they weren't familiar with the content, so I don't feel that there is too much issue with people voting in ignorance. Though, we also plan in future to further enhance the voting experience by including easily accessible trailers/stills/etc for each nominee within the vote page itself. This will make it much more user friendly, and even encourage increased sales directly.
Anyhow, rest assured we're constantly reassessing the processes, and always encourage suggestions and feedback. Please don't hesitate to float ideas in our inbox at any time.

I think this is really great. I discovered a lot of creators I wouldn't have if this hadn't put so many people in one place.

I was opening so many tabs trying to see all the nominees and their work, so having their promo pictures and trailers on the page with links to the store and/or scene would be fantastic.

I was genuinely very touched to find out I'd been nominated (I discovered it by chance looking through the list of nominations. I didn't receive a message as others seemed to).

I was also very surprised. I would never have nominated myself and certainly not within those categories! I'd intended to contribute to the show reel as I can't attend on the day but I'd been busy and was running out of time - so it motivated me to rush out a little montage video.

So thank you to whoever it was it made my week!

Just to confirm, we also have not nominated ourselves for this at any time. We would guess a viewer has done this on our behalf. We do appreciate the gesture.

We are more than happy for anyone to share our public videos such as free pictures we share on social media, youtube trailers etc. (just not full videos obviously) as it all helps people find our content who may really enjoy it. After all, we make them for the community / the public to enjoy.

We appreciate the gesture of someone choosing our content however we don't feel as though it would be right for us to be included in any awards nominations at this time. Maybe in the future.

OnlyFans dropped the ball on this it seems - I haven't yet talked to anyone in the US who was able to watch the stream. However, I don't blame Messtival: I'm sure the show was a blast! My work was also submitted by a fan, and I have to say that seeing my name in a category next to *Bill Shipton* was practically an award by itself. I'm flattered and already making plans for 2023 submissions!

Poor Penny and her team were running around like headless chickens trying to get everything working, unfortunately the usual technical gremlins showed and I think the network dropped a few times.

Unfortunately it was being sent via a mobile phone so Penny was crawling back and forth, poking up to check on it every half hour.
