Apparently FetLife has been forced to massively self-censor, due to pressure from banks and the current political climate on both sides of the Atlantic.

While I am not pro-censorship the content removed was rather repulsive and I'm not sure why it was allowed to be on there to begin with. According to fetlife this is their new content policy:
"Nothing non-consensual (abduction, rape, etc.)
Nothing that impairs consent (drugs, alcohol, etc.)
No permanent or lasting damage (snuff, lacerations, deep cutting, etc.)
No hate speech (Nazi roleplay, race play, etc.)
Nothing that falls under obscenity (incest, etc. )"
I'm glad there won't be pictures of people bleeding horribly showing up on my feed anymore.
But with the political climate there will probably be more censorship coming which is hypocritical since so many republicans are perverts.

That's always been a concern of mine so when I film I like to show the part where the model comes up out of the mud afterwards. But yeah it's basically a fake snuff film so that could piss some people off no matter how clearly I make it obvious that no one is actually being injured. And people are idiots, I have gotten youtube comments where people say "OMG why wouldn't you help the person instead of filming them?".
I think a big issue with a lot of the amateur stuff posted on fetlife is that it's hard to tell if something is really consensual or not. I would see people post some photos & videos that were really violent looking and if you don't have a professional model release saying the person was willingly engaging in that activity how do you know it wasn't rape? For a site like fetlife they really are putting themselves in a bad legal position if they let people upload questionable material. But in contrast if you are uploading the same type of content to a site like clips4sale you also have to upload model releases and 2257 records so that puts the responsibility on the producers and not the website.
But in the past people have been arrested for breaking the obscenity law by writing fictional stories that were clearly labeled as fictional. So with our government who the fuck knows what is going to happen.

I do have some issues with how women are over-sexualized in video games and the media in general which of course seems ridiculous coming from someone who makes a living getting nude and making videos for men to jerk off too. But that is a complicated topic that would take too long to go into.
However I do think it's sexist and ridiculous to say any female superhero is too sexualized without making the same complaint about male superheros. I think it was in the 2nd Thor movie they had a shot of him nude from behind for no reason other than it made straight women and gay men want to watch the movie, lol.
People love getting mad about shit and I will never understand that.
