This fetish of ours is a metaphor for sex, gunge is an analog for jizz, so when we see someone slimed or pied in the face, our brains (with their crossed wires) think we're seeing them get a facial.
I mean... not for all of us. I specifically want to see someone slimed, the more colourful and gross the better, to humiliate them. It's not an analog.
And as if to further prove we're not seeing things in the same way, a pie on top of the head CAN be insanely hot. There's a soundguy scene with Star Nine where this happens and it's one of my favourite Star images ever.

Oof, that sounds like a story...
Edit: Just to clarify, I mean "I'm intrigued to know more (if you're willing to share)", not "this is a work of fiction"!
I had no idea when I started this thread it would turn out so fascinating. Thank you all for the replies, especially Kelsey for the dissertation that makes perfect sense.

The funny thing is, my origin is also 100% YCDTOTV. However, my interpretation, right from the start, was that many of the cast members enjoyed getting slimed (several of them smile pretty broadly or laugh as they get it, which I love) and certainly I wanted to get it right from the start. The feeling was always pretty sexual for me, too, even though I was very young and didn't understand that too well at the time. I see the facial as an expression of acceptance, joy, or lust, and like it very much.
I'm also a big fan of scripted scenes, with a strong preference for "I don't know" as a trigger for obvious reasons, but really anything that explains, defines, or puts rules on when mess is going to happen is delightful to me. In my mind, things are much more fun when everyone is super into getting slimed, which makes triggers work on two levels. (1) Everybody knows they can get slimed whenever they want, and (2) in the opposite direction, putting some sort of comedy bit, cartoon logic, or game rules around the mess keeps it interesting as to who's going to get it and how, since when a scene was just girl stands still, gets slimed over and over with no dialogue, it gets repetitive and less exciting even for me (though, again, never going to complain about anyone getting slimed, especially if it's good thick and chunky but still flowing opaque slime. I too went searching for slime on the internet well before it contained very much).

I remember my friends and us growing up said getting off to pics is near impossible when videos exist.
Again, big generational difference. We have full blown PMVs and compilations now. 30 40 clips mashed into a 5 minute video now. So even just single vids are less stimulating. So imagine just pictures.
Not to say people dont get off to pics, cause sure its a thing but nowadays those two pics are more or less the same for people used to higher standards of stimulation. Video editing and everything is at a whole new level now.
Dude if you knew how many shower nozzles I broke masturbating to printed out low resolution jpeg's of screenshots from early Anglefan and Slapstickstuff videos because I didn't have a checking account yet so I couldn't order the DVD's by mail...
Mind you, I had to wait until everyone else in my family went to bed, then sneak downstairs to use the computer, log onto my parent's America Online account, use that to log into one of my several burner accounts on YahooGroups, then download the aforementioned jpeg, which took no less than an hour and half, time which was spent voraciously searching for any potential new images of green slimings (spoiler alert; there almost always weren't any).
Then, when the picture finally finished downloading, I had to move it to a hidden folder on the hard-drive (which I would later find out was not hidden at all), and then wait until the following day! to actually print it out, having only the brief window of time between when my brothers left for sports and my parents hadn't gotten back yet from work to sneakily use the printer (and god help me if it was the summer!).
AND THEN, I had to wait another 5-6 hours until it was time to shower before bed, so that I could walk to the bathroom with the printed out jpeg hidden in the back of my bathrobe, the edge of it securely being held between my buttcheeks like fucking prison contraband, all so that I could finally almost 24 hours later, spend some quality time with my prize.
P.S. Do you know how fucking hard it is to masturbate in the shower with a printed piece of paper and keep it from gettting wet?!?!
Nowadays I can literally say "play slime videos" to my phone and viola! we're cooking with fire.

On behalf of those shower nozzles, my apologies. Didn't I start doing trailers not long after that first slime clip? At least that was an improvement over printed JPEGs.
I also apologize for getting the slime recipe totally wrong in that first SS06 clip. Came out way too watery. I did better with Tracy in SS07 (thick slime, black bikini). Probably Deana in SS11 and then SS13 Britney (a big YCDTOTV fan herself) were the first slimings where I thought, "That looks pretty good."
I had pretty much (figuratively) given up on the world.. and then one day I found a trailer for scene 3 of volume 36 on YouTube..

Stare straight ahead for the first 4 or so seconds and then a slight tilt of the chin upward and it hits the forehead, then look back straight ahead. THAT is my jam, right there, sir! Looking straight up, I can't really see expressions. I don't mind it so much late in the sliming, but not early and not for a long period of time. And looking down is a hard No.
Perfectly, expertly described. These are the best.
I'd also add that scenes where the model looks straight up immediately often end with just their face and front covered and almost no hair coverage, which is an instant fail.
For me, I most want to see the face get messy...I'm primarily a pie fan, and it ain't a pie in the face if it's not a pie in the face.
SO, slime is a LITTLE different, but I'm of the opinion that look-up slimings are fine when the model sells it right. If the model seems to WANT to get slimed, I'm for it...it reminds me of gameshows with willing and eager participants (or reluctant but willing participants).
If the model seems to be resigned to the fact and looks up into the slime to humor the viewer, I'm also for it.
I'm also a fan of the occasional moments where the model tries to wipe her face but winds up getting MORE slime on her (there's a NHP gunging that comes to mind where the woman has bangs which keeps most of the slime out of her face but she wipes her bangs and then gets covered at the end).
But, if I can hear the producer going "Look up, look up!" it takes me out of the scene. Suspension of disbelief is weird. That might be my irritation with subpar producing coming into play...just cut out the audio or something.

... and suddenly everything was right with the world
SS36 was the one that did it for me too, although it was the shot of the model with pie in her hair from the intros! Found it in a random Google search. At that time, most of what I had found on the Internet was archival sites gathering pie clips that already existed from TV shows and movies on like Geocities sites......I had no idea someone was out there producing their own content. When I found that Slapstickstuff image, I was bummed that the pie was in the model's hair and not her face but I was hopeful there were more photos. I was THRILLED when I found Slapstickstuff, and the models were wearing the clothes I wanted them to wear, and they were there to get multiple pies and slimes.
But like I said, because everything was like collecting photos from [you-know-what-channel] or old TV shows on Geocities sites, I figured Slapstickstuff was just a collection of preexisting videos. Then I came back a few weeks later and VOLUME 37 was coming out, and I was like "this dude is making MORE?"
In addition, Vol 37 is the one with Toshia in that white two-piece outfit. Just damn!
Thank you for coming to my Slapstickstuff Ted Talk.

If you want to invite me to the next SlapstickStuff Ted Talk, I'd be honored.
I don't think I personally did anything notable with slime.... Not like other producers.... But I enjoyed throwing it into the mix or having "slime-centric" scenes from time to time. Maybe I was the gateway drug for some folks? I tell ya, Toshia (and that tube top) did ALL the work to make that SS27 scene great.... Not me! Also glad to see some SS36 Amber love. She was 100% that cute and genuine in real life.
Anyway, now that The Man & Wife and Kelsey and others are raising slime to an art form, I'm more than content to just step back and do the occasional sliming once in a while. But I really do appreciate all the kind words!

Thank you for the shout out Rich. Kelsey and I are just doing our jobs good sir. *salute*

Please don't completely abandon your green slimming. I still think your green slime is good!
