The kca on Nick airs close to a month. When have they announced the host prev. Im wondering if go with no host like oscars since I thought usually say now
I'm guessing the trend is pointing towards another dude hosting. Forget the host, how about those guests....you know, the hopefully females that will get at least slimed?

Yep, reminds me of the days when RunninRebel would obsess over every last detail in a way that only a mentally-unbalanced-stalker-who-sends-100-tweets-a-day-to-female-celebs-begging-them-to-get-messy could.
Followed closely by RunninRebel absolutely losing his shit when, inevitably, Nickelodeon pulled the football away and slimed 8 idiot dudes while the female celebs stayed clean. The J.Lo year where she was "100% guaranteed to get slimed!" and then didn't.... was a meltdown that transcended time and space.

I remember a lot of these from a Yahoo group in the mid-aughts. There was a guy who allegedly worked in entertainment and had a "Nick rep" who would feed him possibilities as to who would be getting slimed. Always bogus (or at best wishful thinking, but the subsequent meltdowns when it was a lock to be J.Lo or Jessica Alba, but turned out to be Will Ferrell or Mike Myers we're just *kisses fingers like an Italian chef*
You got it all wrong its Mandy and Sonya vs Kira Kosarian and Liza Koshay....Alexa is hosting the Superhero piefight between Karen Gillian, Gal Gadot, Melissa Benoit and Sophie Turner

Also, completely unrelated, but my roommates cousins barber went to kindergarten with a guy who had a beer with a janitor who works at Nickelodeon, and he said that they are definitely having Alexa Bliss vs Mandy Rose in a bikini slime-wrestling match.

Good luck trying to use the search engine on here. Also, all posts before 2013 won't come up, which means all the quality stuff (Runnin Rebel breakdowns, Chainsaw John's penis, Vicky reposting the email where Anglefan Ken assures a customer that he will jerk off on her without her knowledge) have somehow "disappeared" from the archives.
I wish I could find the thread where the guy posted about a commercial for Megan Mullally's new talk show ** where she gets hit with "30 pies in a row." People lost their DAMN MINDS. And then.... when it was determined that the OP was pulling a troll job and no such commercial existed.... people BURNED THIS PLACE DOWN.

** Said talk show was 2006. Geez I'm old.
I don't fancy myself gullible, but I will admit that one of Running Rebels "insider info tips" got me good for years, until we all realized how full of sh** he is. It was when he heard Carrie Underwood in an interview say she was covered in green slime in a spoof of the KCA's for the CMA's and that the producers cut it for time. I was like, "Oh Man! There's an absolute classic sitting in a Vault at ABC, how could they do that to the world." And everytime I saw Carrie Underwood I'd feel a little upset that the world was deprived of the scene of the century. Again, this was before RR started saying that he heard every super model in the world were planning a show that was a mix of slime time live, double dare, and YCDTOTV that would run everyday for the next ten years!
In regards to the KCAs I have no expectations. It's really the only time they role out the slime anymore outside of Promos and Events, so I get why people get overly excited, but come on It's like Charlie Brown Kicking the Football with how people get their expectations raised.
That said, I was honestly shocked with the Liza Koshy sliming, not because she was slimed at the podium, but that they followed it up and got her AGAIN backstage.
Also, Typically the event is used for Film and TV promotions and if it's coming out in March/April, that's right around the time for Captain Marvel (March), Avengers Endgame (April), & Wonder Woman '84 (June) so who knows?

Not to be too persnickety, but Wonder Woman is next year. And while youre right about using this to promote film and TV, theres also about 15,000 things that involve a male that can be promoted. We'll probably end up with Josh Gas because of Frozen 2 and fat people are funny to the youth. This is why I generally tend to avoid the KCA's themselves and focus on the events surrounding them.
1. Always a dude hosting.
2. Hot females attend, usually completely avoid mess
3. Hot guys attend but get destroyed because reasons
4. If there is a slime vote, guy will always win because fan armies are a thing, and girl will stay clean. If girl wins, which never happens, guy would get messy too. If it is two guys they slime them both because reasons.
5. In the unlikely event a female is slimed, it is usually terrible, such as the case for Kaley Cuoco and Heidi Klum. There have been 5 good to great female slimings, like ever. Katy Perry, Halle Berry, Demi Lovato, Ally Brooke and Liza Koshy. Meanwhile, nearly every cute dude under the sun has been slimed quite well.
Wha about Sandra bullock 2013 slimming and Mel b Heidi plum slimming from last year

LOL, that was some quality trolling.
... and, it was something like 8 pies, a lot but any more would have broken the veneer of possibility. Picking a celebrity who was pie worthy but at the same time not anyone's first choice was also a very delicate matter.
This is careful stuff, Rich, it's not like you can just put up an avi picture of a fat slob and then nitpick women's looks and rate then on a 1 to 10 scale to generate heat.

Nah, they were pretty lame too.
I seem to recall the Olsen Twins getting it really good one year or am I the only one who liked that one?
Why does every post about mainstream stuff on this site have to be filled with 95 mentions of idiots like AntDX? Like, you can't even bring up a mainstream thing here without tons of hand-wringing and admonishments.
We know these numbnuts exist. Any sane person knows they are awful. Can't we just move on and talk about the thing itself?
I could care less about the KCAs, but I can see why they could be an interesting thing for someone who loves slime.
cicada said: Why does every post about mainstream stuff on this site have to be filled with 95 mentions of idiots like AntDX?
Because our best strategic models of iterated choice scenarios generally recommend punishment of serial defectors and imposition of reputation costs upon them in order to produce the highest average gains for the aggregate of non-defectors. And this is a great context to ring that particular bell because talking about a kids show on a fetish forum is skeezy.
The idea that "talking about this stuff is skeezy" is the crux of the problem here. We really need someone to start a separate mainstream-only forum.
Even the most docile mainstream post on this site is bound to get heckled by hordes of people here who either don't understand why anyone would care about anything that isn't xxx-rated, or are creeped out by the very idea of people who care about these things.
If I post the most amazing scene of a female reporter being pied tomorrow, three people will post to remind everyone that she's a real person who deserves our respect and three more will post that maybe she's actually a secret wammer, and all six of those people are silly gooses.
PS: Even the worst example of an AntDX has almost no real effect. If he tries really hard, maybe he can sabotage one good scene per year by being super weird? If we try really hard, we could create 100 good scenes a year. He's not serving as an "image of our community" - sheesh, 99.9 percent of people don't even know there is any such thing as "our community."

Ah, like we tried to do in 2000.... and 2005... and 2010.....
The UMD and Messmaster don't WANT a mainstream forum. So it's not happening. There have been other separate sites in the past, but the ClassicPies one was in a huge state of denial (to the point of kicking out anyone who was also posting on the UMD).... and the current TellyGunge one just simply hates the UMD with a fiery passion. (Plus, it's only 5 people talking on and on about slime on UK kids shows.)

what was the classic pies site about what do you mean they were in denial
jfs said: what was the classic pies site about what do you mean they were in denial
90% of the Classic Pies membership argued that there was nothing remotely sexual or fetish-y about their love of (mostly male on male) pieings. Anyone they found posting on the UMD was accused of being a deviant because WE sexualized their "innocent" diversion. I finally gave up and left. (They also drove out the big beardy guy who used to post pics of himself getting pied in overalls. Anyone remember him?)
It later came out that the site owner (Shane Jensen) was deeply closeted, so he was in denial about a lot more than just his WAM fetish. Very weird.... He was apparently a big deal on YouTube a decade ago (not for his pie forum, just his random videos) and got outed by some folks, and kinda disappeared after that. ANYWAY. That was the last "mainstream" forum I can remember that professed to be completely unrelated to the WAM fetish, so take it as you will.

I think it's a bit subtler than that. Example, every now and then that video of the cute but definitely of-age reporter in leggings wallowing in mud to learn what it's like to be a pig gets shared, and mostly no-one complains about that. It shows an adult woman who knows she's being filmed for broadcast willingly doing something which some of us find sexy, in a show that as far as I know had nothing to do with kids. That's OK by most people's standards I think. Likewise the wet and messy games from Ellen's recent shows, that again were all-adults. And how many times does the legendary pie scene from The Great Race get mentioned? Again, no problems there. The problems happen when wam and kids shows, or shows aimed primarily at kids, intersect.
Personally I wish there were more mainstream shows like The Crystal Maze and Fort Boyard, where adults took part in wet and sometimes messy challenges. One of my many "when I win the lottery" plans is to commission and have broadcast a wam-based TV game show, adults only, very messy, with both the challenges and the camera angles optimised to let the audience see the messings, and with the entire cast and crew being aware, and included in the contracts, that there is a fetish interest as well as a game show / comedy one.
