I don't think America and the rest of the West is in a big seperate bucket. In Norway and even other scandinavian countries a lot of the social aspects and woes that are problems in America are also infecting here. Especially if you want to talk culture, mental health, media, politics. The EU is more complex but just like America its someone pulling the strings. Every Brit I talk to didnt want BJ in, every French person didnt want Macron in and the Dutch "re elected" the child welfare scandal dude again. And dont get me started on the rise of the extreme right in places like Poland and Spain. Or mention immigration.
Its something bigger at work here and it isnt just America. Lived in both now and Asia may be the last bastion. Otherwise enjoy the ride.
Yesterday I went to the FBI.gov website and reported Damon Circosta, Chair and Stella Anderson, Secretary of the North Carolina Board of Elections https://www.ncsbe.gov/about for white-collar fraud. It's a long thing to fill out, and you do have the option of not identifying yourself.
ALWAYS take advantage of not identifying yourself, since that is THE LAW. That is YOUR legal right.
But, there's no downside if you DO identify yourself. The worst that can happen is what will happen 99.99% of the time: NOTHING.
Yes. The FBI.gov website DOES list violations of civil rights, such as illegally blocking the Green Party on a ballot that they legally have the authority to be on, as things they investigate.
Just doing this to prove I don't only uselessly and pointlessly complain to people who have no power or control over these injustices but instead talk to my lawmakers.
Also possibly naracassistic to think youre the messiah of truth and others must be illogical.
Then you are saying everybody is narcissistic because, by definition, everybody thinks they are right. otherwise, they would say or believe what they say. So go direct your utterly useless point to every judge and every jury who comes down with a verdict. If you really actually mean it.

Again: so then you are calling everyone on the internet a jerk, because everyone on the internet expresses an opinion, and YOU don't know 99.99999% of the people on the internet. That is what you just said and what you just believe.
Which then contradicts your vapid claim about not judging anyone on the internet who expresses any idea or opinion.
What you said is exactly what happens when you don't care about or refer to actual DATA to distinguish one side from another, and go around calling all sides equal (equally wrong, equally jerks).
Is the US doomed? Well, long term everything is doomed, as eventually the sun will go nova and consume the solar system. And even on a shorder timescale, nations come and go and borders shift and change.
It is clear there is a monumental schism at the core of US society at the moment, between progressives and hard-line conservatives. For the last few general elections there have been various memes suggesting the country will eventually fracture into "The United States of Progress" and "The Republic of Jesusland", the former being a secular democracy and the latter a seventeenth century fundamentalist Christian theocracy.
While that would at least mean the progressives could go on progressing while the theocrats revert to a place where women aren't people, the problem would be that the current US makes most of its GDP from the progressive states - California, if it was a separate country, would be the world's fifth largest economy - and the red states largely depend on subsidy from the blue ones to remain solvent. So the nascent Jesusland Republic would effectively be a failed state before it even got started, and having a nuclear armed failed state as a neighbour isn't in anyone's interests.
As MM said in his thread the other week, the problem is the way politicians have polarised everything to extremes. That needs to stop, before there can be any real movement for reconciliation. The wildly out of balance Supreme Court isn't helping, and long-term, is just destroying its own legitamacy.
Meanwhile, according to envronmental activists over here, we as a species have less than 8 years left to make deep and fundamental changes to what we emit and how we live, or runnaway climate change will become completely unstoppable leading to the complete collapse of what we think of as civilisation. And the SCOTUS has just done massive harm to the EPA's ability to do anything about that either.
Meanwhile though, there will probably be WAM content for as long as there's still a civilisation. But enjoy what you can while you can, because the future is getting less and less stable and less and less predictable.
I agree with the whole of the last post, apart from the bit about climate change. That, IMO, is the biggest con ever perpetrated on humanity, it is a means of subjugating the working classes by the World economic forum and it is part of the new world order.
I don't believe one single, solitary fucking word any of these climate loonies come out with, we have had extreme weather since the year dot and I don't give the tiniest of tiny shits about any of this project fear bollocks

Most people do think they are right, thus there is a lot of narcissism in Western society. From books, to media, to pop culture. "You versus the world!" Because You're special and everyone else is either wrong or doesnt understand you! Grade A naracassiscm. So yes Id say so. Not everyone but surely most are more prone. But I cant wholely judge these people if I do not know them. Nor can you. Havining an opinion and judging are two different things.

Ah yes, I used to be like you as a teenager when I was immature. That doesnt even make sense. i said jerks are people who judge people they dont know. Espcially on a personal level. Said nothing about if they have an opinion or express it. Judging =/= Opinion.
I think kermit the frog is corny. Doesnt mean Im judging kermit as a person. Or saying hes bad/good. I just think hes corny.
Im glad I left the states. All the political turmoil, extreme individualism, "every man for himself", "im right and everyone else is wrong" BS is figuratively mentally debilitating. People actually going crazy in the matrix and glad I left.
Echo chamber effect. You're much older than me, Im sure you get where Im getting at. You seem to mean well actually taking action reporting people. So my hat goes off to you. Most Americans just talk and dont do. So you surely are different.

So you pretend you know better than the thousands of experts who have actually researched this subject, right? How many peer reviewed scientific papers in climatology have you read? How many IPCC reports have you read?
Yeah -- right... you defend the STATUS QUO - those with the GREATST POWER AND MONEY - while attacking the courageous SOLDIERS/activists who sacrifice their time actually making the world a better place.
What are YOU doing to make the world a better place?
I think climate denialists are much worse than those who say sex with children is good for children, or Holocaust denialists. Or school shooting denialists. Or any other form of history denialism.
It is exactly reality-deniers like you who cause people to respond with denialism of ANYTHING they want.
It is your infinite ARROGANCE that will be responsible for violent civil war and nuclear war as a result of governments continuing to do nothing to slow AGW and forcing the destruction of economies onto the poor and workers.
If governments politicians and certain voters won't take AGW deadly seriously, then they have no right to complain about mass shooting or nuclear war or opposing voters not taking ANY OTHER CAUSE that THEY care about seriously.
I find your statement that people who don't buy into this quasi religious cult to be worse than paedophiles or mass murderers to be deeply offensive and typical of the kind of rantings that brainwashed cult members come out with
To mudmanphil, taxes are theft, especially when politicians on both sides won't balance a budget. Also to the person who says how are we better off than other countries, one word opportunity. Anyone no matter what excuse can be their own boss in America. It is not hard to do. Now go to Germany and start a farm, see how that goes for you. Go to Asia, Jakarta is beautiful until you leave the city and see miles after miles of tin shanty towns, they have a very good class system. The dude who ranted about climate deniers. There is an LA Nina set up in the pacific Ocean. Means the pacific is staying colder. It is mostikely will stay in place for a third straight year. This usually brings drought like conditions to the southwest. A la Nina has only been in place 3 years in a row for like 3 times in history. So not deniers just seeing how mother nature puts things in perspective. Work hard, get out if your houses, enjoy life and roll with the punches It throws at you. Oh and don't vote for an 75 year old lifetime politician cause the media tells you to.
The ocean has been cooler than normal for going on its 3rd year, called a LA Nina, this causes droughts in the southwest. Is this the science you are talking about? Is it the science of the name had to be changed from global warming to climate change? You compared climate deniers as you call it to the holocaust? SMDH Good thing is there is data showing the climate is not warming at a rate they suggested and we are not seeing more hurricanes/typhoons, is that the science you speak of. Overall I think your a nutjob who probably never ventures outside to notice what the climate is doing.

Oh yes, OPPORTUNITY. Yeah, because we all have the same opportunity in a country with a lower standard for education, home ownership among younger generations, systemic racism, class warfare. Yeah, so easy to start and run a successful business. I guess it's easier when people aren't paid a fair wage, or decent benefits.
Dungeon Master was right...this guy is looney tunes, probably didn't get enough hugs as a child.
Vegas WAM, everything you mentioned is an ex use. If you want to be successful in America you can, now success is only measured by you against your values and goals.
Sadly the same in the UK. Id always wanted to visit the US and my lifestyle choices have been influenced by the 80s TV classics. Etc. I have snap on tools. I like the fact you fly the stars and stripes in workshops etc. The last couple of years I thought where has America gone, slowly turning Marxist, sadly as the rest of the world. Fueled by environmental terrorism aka Green taxes. Look at what is happening in Australia, The Dutch farmers, Sri Lanka. All I can say is keep your guns. We need them in the UK. People struggle on low income.Time is coming for civil un rest. I feel sad when I watch films as I don't know if things will return to normality let's hope so.
Somewhat agree, had an accident that almost lead to my skull being cracked open, went to ER and got a $14,000 bill for Christmas. Symptoms are still there but I'm not going back. They don't deserve anymore of my money >:c
