OOOOKAY! so, i dont like taking a bunch of customs at once. NOT MY BAG. i dont have very many at all.

i have a couple I have to wait on supplies....and a few I could have done this week but alas....I have NEVER BEEN ALLERGIC to any of the poison ivy, oak or anything like that. I AM COVERED IN IT. I cannot express to you how difficult it is, and how much brush and whatnot we go through to get to the glorious mud. We went for our last time this week bc it is FRIGID in the mornings....and I am 100 percent covered in it!

I cannot believe this and i want to say im sorry to anyone who has been allergic before?? bc this shit is TORTURE! i still have to teach pole fitness classes and holy god....I have to stay as fully clothed as possible to not spread it. I have had to purchase loads and loads of clear coating bandaids big enough to cover areas but its spreading like wildfire! i dont get much sleep bc it itches SO BAD!

ANYHOOOOOOOO----your customs are either a. being moved to a different date or b.....being moved to a different date. that is all. just until i can get this dried up enough where i dont spread it!

My dad grew up with poison ivy in his back yard. Something he swears by that I think is a little crazy is that he would eat a little of the root and never break out. I am by no means a Dr and this is in no way medical advice. Slather yourself in calamine lotion, bathe in that shit and take a LOT of benedryl for the itching.

Sorry Jayce, that sucks. This is also why I build mud pits, clean Mud, safe environment, easy cleanup. One can not do you best work (especially Porn) if your worried about where you are.

I was JUST talking to someone here about something similar. About how I would never actually "perform" in a vid or even in a non recorded WAM "play" if I even felt the least bit "non well." It wreaks havoc with your concentration and it pretty much just reeks in general.

I also actually disliked shooting in hotel rooms because I was forever worried about the hotel manager knocking on the door or the amount of garbage we tossed in the bin.

Much as your home built mud pits, if I was younger and wanted to continue shooting on a regular basis, I would shoot at my home and add a shooting area with an adjacent shower.

Do you have a CVS store in your area? Their "minute clinics" have nurses that give shots.

Dude, jewelweed. Find some, transplant that shit to your yard. Results may vary person to person, but it's worked WONDERs for me.

Don't buy some stupid expensive product with it either, you just need the oils from the plant.

Isnt oatmeal supposed to help with poison ivy? Sounds like a messy oatmeal session could be the remedy to your poison ivy.

And if you don't do the custom, still put some of it in a paste on the affected areas, it will help. basically anything that dries the skin out, will pull out the oils.

HEY ALL!! so, it looks like I will be going to the mud on Thursday and the river. I have scenes to shoot in the mud and the river both....

I am COVERED in friggin itchy shit....BUUUUUUUUUT. i am taking ONE LAST CUSTOM in the mud! for the year! So, this can help my drive (it is in Indiana) pay my camera man, and get lots of coverage for my itchy spots. clear bandages and whatnots. also, i havent really done but one custom in mud! I will have ariel to do one with me!

well, bc of the turn of weather? I MUUUUUST get in the mud one more time this year this week and its ohio river mud. it DRIES YOUR SKIN OUT SOMETHING CRAZY!!! so, that will be helpful. !!! i am going to cover the bad spots in clear bandages though. some are a lot worse than others. i guess from night scratching!

but the docs concern was the food and chlorine getting on it. buuuuut, also said chlorine can help dry out certain areas. some areas it will irritate. that river mud though? it dries you out sooooo bad.

SO HOPEFULLY THIS WILL HELP! OOOOOF! yall, the things we do!

its on my titty now. lol. i had to teach classes last night....and my titty itched something awful. i was itching my boob in room full of mirrors and students. lovely.

Thing about poison ivy is it can't spread by itself; if you managed to get some of the oil on sheets and things like that, contact could relaunch a reaction. Contrary to belief, any blisters and the like are never full of the oil, as that would mean your own body is producing it.

Wash everything really good with gloves on. Clothes, sheets, towels, etc. And hopefully the mudventure you have coming up will correct things otherwise. If not, and if this issue persists, it might not be poison ivy (a lot of rashes are similar and hard to differentiate).

the idea of mud always interested me, but with my sensitity to smell and taste combined with getting it within cavities and no one to do it with in fun (let alone safely!) I really wouldn't know what to do.
