Thanks again to everyone for all the kind comments!
There are quite a few familiar names in this thread from conversations over the years and it's really nice to hear your memories around our work.
I will try and answer a few of the questions and address some comments
Kowalski - it's very hard to pick a favourite scene or set, or indeed model. Things evolved over the years and I tried new things, some worked some didn't. The setup I always went back to was Guess the Mess. Personally, I just loved the blindfolded models anticipating the mess in their sexy lingerie, the fact that they got so messy and giggly and then of course THE MUCKY BUCKET
As to 'hairy arms' - well I can't deny it, but you might be interested to know that those arms belonged to several different people, from photographers to assistants helping out on shoots. I can think of that least 5 different mess pouring people. Sadly, not one of them was actually mine, as in all the years I only attended one of my shoots!
I will see what I can find in terms of behind the scenes and out-takes, there are certainly a few!
Redacted - the name change is a long story, and not a very fun one...basically when I first started commissioning shoots I used a producer I knew from my real work life. She was very helpful, but years later we fell out and she wanted a cut. To be fair to her, she had coined the GlamourGunge name, so once we came to an agreement, I changed the name to something just mine. The lesson there is always to get a contract upfront...
Fun409 - my shoots have taken place over the last 15-20 years. The more recent models may work with other producers (Kay & Siobhan shot for me in the last couple of years, before going on to Messy Mayhem and MostWam) but a lot of the others have moved on in their careers or retired from modelling. I hope that a few may pop up somewhere!
I particularly appreciate the comments about the look of my work and the fact that many people used it as a way to show others WAM could be fun. That's lovely to hear!
I will try and dig out some of the missing scenes that people have messaged me about, and rest assured, if I can find them, they will go up and I'll give people notice before the stores close.
A few of you have noticed things changing at Girls Get Gunged and I wanted to post an update here to explain.
After a few years of sporadic updates and limited opportunity to shoot new material, we have made the decision that now is the right time to wrap things up. It's been a blast and we're very proud of the material that we produced, but it's become increasingly unlikely that we'll produce more in the future.
As some people have spotted, our Vidown stores and website have now gone and our social media is winding up too. The UMD stores are open for the time being, to make sure that we honour some of the longer streaming memberships that have been purchased.
There will be a point in the next month or 2, when we wrap up and the current intention is to take down our store here as well, but we'll make sure to give plenty of notice of an exact date.
At that point, our material will be taken down, but we'll still be here as fans of WAM. It doesn't mean that we're happy for our material to be shared, in fact we'll actively try and stop that happening where we can and appreciate the community's support in this (you've always been wonderful in this regard).
In the meantime, we've simplified our streaming options - leaving a single price that gives access to all our videos here for $25/month. If you are on the old Big One subscription, make sure to cancel and get on this new one for savings.
There's also buy 2 get 1 free on our videos and buy 4 get 1 free on our photos and we'll try and throw in a few snap deals.
There are always a few requests for missing scenes or pictures and we promise to do our best to track these down and put them up for a brief period before we go.
Thanks for everything over the years - it's been a huge amount of hard work and a lot of fun and there are a great new generation of models and producers out there and we'll be looking forward to enjoying their work.
If anyone has any questions please let us know x
I am sorry to hear you are closing down because, as that selection of pictures unambiguously demonstrates, your work excels in combining stunning models, colourful gunge, and beautiful lighting: those photos are so bright, so colourful and -- so messy!
How about a download all-pics-in-one-lot package? (Not to repost, I promise, but to complement my more limited archive of your work! :thumbsup
Sorry to hear you're calling it a day. But you did gunge Kelly Burgess and dump mucky buckets over Holly McGuire and Kristie Colman, so that's a pretty good life's work right there as far as I'm concerned.
