Hello folks, Some of you might've spotted a preview of this new scene via my "Who Likes Thick Slime?" thread. Some of you might've even investigated further! For everyone else... This is the newest Jen & Ginger scene. It stars Jen as "Socialite Jen," who is rich and snooty. (You can tell because she's wearing long gloves and nice stockings.) It also stars Ginger as "Collette the maid." You can tell she's a maid because she's wearing a maid thing in her hair. And an apron. More on that apron later....
Watch as these two unite against a common enemy: Crusty the chef! Yes, that stupid Les-Lyle-rip-off voice I do returns in a non-bakery scene! Watch as Crusty wrecks havoc on both women to the tune of real pies, chocolate pies, yellow slime, marshmallow pies, SC pies, and certainly the thickest green slime I've dumped in ages. Or, if you just want a preview, grab the free "Behind The Scenes" clip which shows just how work went into getting that apron outfit to stay put. And yet, all for naught......
I've already been informed by Ginger that this will be the last appearance of said "maid apron outfit," so enjoy it while you can. Thanks!
But Rich, this alleged "Maid's Uniform" is simply an apron with some teeny panties, and a hair thing. Sounds like false advertising to me!
Oooh, wait! That's the idea! The skimpy outfit shows more than it should, and leads to "wardrobe malfunctions"! Ah, I get it! So Ginger was mad because her boobs came out of her nonexistent top! Sooo, what's the problem, again?
Both ladies look hotter than hell in their skimpy outfits! And they both look awesome covered in the pies and slime! :lovestruck:
This has GOT to be a good seller for you! I'm going to get it as soon as I can!
Every time I see the pics of Ginger, she looks like Priscilla Barnes, who played Terry on Three's Company. (But Ginger's a lot prettier, with a much hotter figure!) :lovestruck:
Has this been mentioned before? Did I just miss it?
Haha... OK. So the proper term for this piece of fabric is "Sexy French Maid Apron Lingerie Set." Or something like that.
Anyway. In her other, non-pie-related career, Ginger has done some catalog work. Some of the outfits she's modeled have been on the skimpy side... In fact, if you watched the SS121 "nurse" scene, you might remember her holding a package with HER modeling said nurse outfit. (Very meta, I thought.) So you can thank/blame Ginger for the infamous nurse costume winding up in SlapstickStuff rotation, since she was the one who brought it to the SS102 shoot and basically gave it to me afterwards.
SO. I might've been randomly checking for possible new outfits, and I came across said "Sexy Apron." With Ginger herself modeling it. So naturally, the following exchange happened... ME: So look what I found! [pic attached] G: Oh no. [eye rolling emoji] ME: Do you still have this in your closet? G: No, I never kept that one. ME: But if I bought it, you would wear it? G: Are you gonna pay me extra? ME: Sure. How about [usual fee + $100]? G: Make it [usual fee + $150]. ME: Fine. You better be worth it! G: [smiley face]
And so, in case you're wondering why this shoot was so expensive, that's some of it. And of course, it took Ginger a solid 20 minutes (with Jen's help) to "tape in" to the outfit, because she couldn't remember how she got into it the first time. And then, naturally, a boob popped out even before the first pie hit, so the bulk of the scene is our girl holding one boob as she gets covered in mess. (Until eventually, said mess does the covering.)
So that's a very long way of saying... If you're wondering how the original model pulled off an incredibly impractical outfit in these pics? Studio trickery. Cuz that stuff does NOT work in real life.
Also, we found another "Ginger modeled" maid outfit for future shoots that's a BIT more practical. So enjoy this one while you can...

Yup. Also paid Jen a lot more to wear MORE clothes than she did in the last shoot.
Anyone who wants their "favorite model" to return, just remember in 2015: 1) They will cost a lot more than they did even one year ago 2) They will sell a LOT less than they did even one year ago

So you explained why Ginger got $150 more than her usual fee (what tax preparers refer to as Mammary Control Systems Management), but why did Jen get paid a lot more this time? You also say that, whoever our "favorite model" happens to be, her fees have gone up considerably in the last year. I'm sure you know your business and I'm not doubting you at all on this, but I'm curious why this is the case. Have model fees in general skyrocketed in 2015? Is this something we can expect to see Republican presidential candidates blaming on Obamacare?
Well, a variety of reasons, but just for starters: 1) A model will NEVER take LESS money for the same work for a second shoot. If you find said model, follow her on her unicorn to her magical money tree. 2) If you use a model a few times (or even a second time), she will always assume she's valuable and her rate will go up accordingly. 3) If another producer poaches a few of your models by giving them double your usual rate, they will always want more if & when they shoot with YOU again. 4) If a producer in a totally different field pays her a lot more money, she will always want more if & when they shoot with YOU again. 5) If a model works for a while (more than 3 months), she will be "experienced" and ask for more money.
In the case of Jen, she models a lot less now and basically said she was probably done with this type of work. When I asked her what would make her reconsider, she said "more money." So we agreed on a price. There you go. The alternate would've been to bring in Ginger solo (which still might happen).
I felt it was a worthwhile risk considering how well previous Ginger and Jen solo scenes have done. So the combination of the two, plus skimpy outfits, plus more and better mess, should (in theory) equal the sales of said previous solo volumes. That, unfortunately, hasn't happened, but I think a lot of that is simply the WAM marketplace in 2015.
I'd be curious to know if other producers are experiencing similar increases in model pricing. The last year has been particularly brutal for me. (With the exception of Shelly, God bless her, who's kept a reasonable rate since Day 1.) I do think it's telling that, with the exception of MG and Meathook, it seems like few other pie producers are filming new models right now. (I don't know about mud or wetlook.) There's still a flood of content coming, but the bulk of it is from models self-producing (so the "rate" is non-existent), rather than folks hiring outside talent.

Nah, but the guy is one of my favorite actors right now. Watching him work up close was... Pretty awesome. No socks on a suit is still a weird look though.
