Very hard decision, as there are several outfits that work for messy play.

I do love seeing lingerie and latex as items to get messy in, but I also love seeing cheerleader outfits (proper ones!), and also cosplay outfits like "Alice in Wonderland" or others, so I put my vote as Cosplay.

Tbh, doesn't really matter as long as it's sexy, but for actual clothed WAM, cheerleader would be my first choice!

I agree with the cheerleader getting messy as one of my favorites.

Part of the reason I started moving into customs a couple of years ago was because I finally wanted / had the chance to make wam as I've always most wanted it, which is to say the person is wearing something totally ridiculous and somewhat humiliating, so doubling the ridiculousness and humiliation of a gunging.

The traditional things - smart business wear, cheerleaders, lingerie, nothing, school uniform, I can obviously see the appeal in but ...you know, *everyone's* doing them, constantly. I'm never going to struggle to find clips like that. But having someone look silly before they get messed up is of huge appeal to me, so that's what I do with the producers I like to work with. I generally also like the costumes to be revealing - mostly of legs - I actually really don't care about topless nudity in a clip (and heck, my favourite costume is an absolute guarantee you won't see anything more than that). But bare legs and bare shoulders are a big thing for me.

But then I can also have a costume like the silly ersatz old time striped bathing suit which is an absolute turn-on for me and yet reveals almost nothing of the person wearing it. A few weeks ago we had the "golden age of wam" thread which I read with interest... but I have to say for me, the golden age is now! I get to work with wonderful producers & models who indulge my silliness (also including in some scenes brilliant acting, bad rhymes, alliterative names for gunge tanks and excellent improv) before getting sloppy, and I'm very, very grateful to them.

Coveralls, singlets, military fatigues (bdus, acus), sports gear , jersey type materials, polyester.

I'm actually no great fan of so called "sexy clothing". I prefer more "everyday" outfits, albeit of the thin and clingy-when-wet variety. So summer dresses, blouse and skirt combinations, maybe T shirt and jeans. Thin pyjamas can be very sexy as they get clingy with mess or mud.

And, for our own sessions, there needs to be some thought about what's going to happen as things get "steamier" - disappointing if removing clothing also ends up removing most of the mess. Short skirts without underwear can, of course, avoid the need to remove anything at this point...

I vote Casual/Sporty/Tomboy but actually I prefer a mix of them for example an outfit composed by high heel, formal blouse, ripped jeans and a leather biker or a yellow raincoat

Gotta be costumes, helps build a scenario! In a world of crazy game and TV show gungings, it's always those in the silly costumes that get the mess!

A nice cotton summer dress.

For me it's always business/formal wear.

Whether I'm crossdressing for a session or doing WAM with someone else, always feel like I need to be in a nice office outfit and heels then let the mess commence.

I have experienced wearing leather and pvc for sessions but don't enjoy it as much as business wear, although my favourite jacket is leather and that has seen its fair amount of mess

Of course it's not the most scientific of polls, but I just want to say that while I always suspected that WAM niches and tastes were pretty vast, I'm amazed at how the responses are so closely clustered together. There's the clear front-runner and a few down at the bottom, but the rest are pretty tight.

i have to answer it the opposite way because i cant pick orz. the only ones i wouldnt choose are swimwear and rainwear.

Not a particular fan of denim (and other similar hardier fabrics) though either unless they're like hotpants/booty shorts or miniskirts.

I will always yearn for fancy clothing destroyed in WAM scenes. The fancy straight laced model being put in a messy situation just seems so right.

That said, lingerie is also nice. Best case for me at least is to see a fancy party mini dress on a model in a pie fight or any other messy situation. That way during the struggle to stay clean, a few nice up skirt and down blouse peeks can organically work their way into the scene. If the party mini dress happens to be leather or other wetlook material, another layer of fetish is added to the coming mess.

And of course the dress should come off for some really nice views of the lingerie as it is messed up as well.

I have to admit, we were somewhat surprised by the end results! We really thought cosplay/schoolgirl would rank MUCH higher. Hey, the more you know! Thank you for participating everyone! Now a goal of ours is to get Lilly in a bathing suit and into The Raft.
