Conexao Models will be airing new episodes sometime in March but don't get excited yet. There has been no mention if balloons or pies are returning.

A short article that I found only talked about the reality show portion of the program.

However, several of the regular cast members were discussing on IG that they were happy to get back to work. Therefore it's pretty clear that games of some sort will continue to be part of the program.

It's really hard to believe that they'd return to pies or balloons since the show was a gigantic flop.

But then again they have (at least) 45 minutes to kill and their options are limited.

I put the odds at about 50% that mess (of some sort) will continue to be a feature on CM.

As the resident CM optimist, let me advance another view.

On the face of raw numbers, CM probably IS a flop. But I submit its all about demographics and target audience. CM is aimed at teenaged girls in Brazil (and us, probably unintentionally) so these numbers are bound to be low. CM amounts to "content" for the network which must appeal to a wide range of demographics. If they ax CM they just have to come up with another show aimed at teenage girls.

Moreover, I dont believe they buy out that other guy who claimed to own the show, change it slightly, without the intent of keeping it.

I admit the last few episodes, the ones shot outdoors were absolutely the worst. For one thing, how could they replace the horse mask guy with some 70-year-old in a tuxedo?
And the pies were fewer than ever and the camerawork was wose than ever.

On the other hand, if you read anything into the reruns, they showed some of the better pie and balloon episodes with the old better known models.

My prediction is the pies and balloons will be back ...probably not nearly as good as when the show was in its heyday but still the occasional sexy girl in skimpy dresses and heels getting pied or drenched.

Not great but better than nothing. Just one man's opinion.

There are only a few comments on IG that provide insight into the non-reality show portion of CM3 that's being planned.

One kid asked the host if the new show would be more like Chega Mais. She replied with an emphatic NO (jn capital letters). Additionally, a cast member wrote that the new show would have many surprises. That's all I've been able to find so far.

They've already tried word games, memory games, singing games and dancing games. What else is left? Is the cast going to perform Shakespeare? Is Barbara going to discuss quantum mechanics with Curly? Is Dani going to argue supply side economics with Ugly Bieber?

I don't know what else they could do (other than get hit with pies/balloons) that anybody would watch for 45 minutes.

Therefore, the reason I believe there's a 50% chance the pies will return is because I can't conceive of any other option. However, my thinking is counterbalanced by the reality that the producers desperately wanted to move away from the pies throughout mid 2016.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I look forward to the day when there is more than one show on air in the entire world that pies attractive women on a weekly basis....

....So we can stop talking about this POOR excuse for a program that is so clearly ashamed of the fact that they only get the ratings they do by pieing attractive women on a weekly basis (and tries to do everything to avoid this).

Remember the days when there were like 6 weekly programs in Latin American countries alone, consistently pieing women (and men for that matter)? Ah 2015.... It seems so long ago......

It's not really worth speculating since we're operating on pretty much no information. Personally, I assume very little at this point.

I'm not brazilian but I know a little portuguese and I don't think she mention pies or anything, just some bs about the new version of CM.

I understand some spanish, so I can get the general gist of what she's saying. I think it's just advertising the new time and that there will be more reality stuff. I didn't hear anything about mess in particular, but the battle of the sexes component will still be there.

On video, Renata Kuerten says that the models need to be prepared for the games with more mess.

Probably the pies should continue.

I guess I'm one of the few who really likes the way this show does (did?) pies. They dont have the standard pie "face-off" podium or outfits that mask the girls' hotness. When CM did it right...admittedly not on a consistent basis...there was nothing else like it before or since. Absolutely gorgeous girls in skimpy dresses and heels, The walk of shame to the little stool, the tugging on the too-short skirt, the cheesy sound effects, the humiliated reactions, the slipping and sliding on the spent pies...I just thought it was great!

And although Rich has been a vocal critic...and I'm a loyal customer of his dating back to VHS era...I think his CM parody might be his greatest-ever video. I'd love to see a sequel.

To each his own, I know...just my take. And once again, being an optimist, I say where there's life there's hope. And what I'm hoping for is a big CM comeback!

This is excellent news. I know it gets a bit of flack in the community, but it is also the best thing to happen in TV WAM for years. Even when it was 'bad', there were still beautiful girls taking pies in the face on a weekly basis. Can't wait for it to return.

--Ugly Bieber and Curly get at least 4 pies each.
--Token returns and is forced to pie his female target gently. She returns favor by covering his entire head in frosting.
--Females get 15 balloons and 4 pies total, of which one is a solid hit.
--45 posts on the UMD to follow. (CU writes half of them.)

Only Karla, Julia and Ana return from last season's cast for the premiere episode (as best as I can tell). I think they're mostly going to use the girls from the "reality show" for the balloon/pie game.

"Curly" returns in his quest to break the Guiness World Record and take 5,000 pies in 2017. This will be received as terrific news to his biggest fan, SS. Ruda (aka "Token") also returns. Ugly Bieber, I'm not certain.

I don't expect the first episode to be destined for Cooperstown. The balloons are still the delivery system for the pies. This automatically puts a lid on the epic-ness of an episode.

A few decent pie-ings of some new girls would be an acceptable takeaway. Hopefully, as the weeks go by, the balloons will disappear and the pies will re-emerge as the centerpiece of the show.

Terrific. I was hoping this show was gone for good but I guess we can expect another Sunday thread of Rich and Criticism writing novel-like posts about the most recent CM episodes. Something to look forward to on the weekends!

Eh, I think the last few months of new CM broke me. It got so bad I stopped paying attention. Hopeful the show returns to its glory days.... Expecting something more along the lines of 80% balloons for the women and maybe 1-2 decent hits at most per show.

The other shoe will drop when somebody on here discovers that I'm actually Curly trying to resist the utter hatred of my personality and hairstyle.

The video shows at least 4 or 5 men covered in pie. Several of them appear to have taken multiple hits. This includes Ruda (aka "Token") who looks like he was dipped in a vat of frosting (to borrow a phrase from SS).

The best I can determine only two women have received a pie. Just one looks substantial.

There might be a final round not shown in the video where the women take a bunch of pies. If not, I'm guessing that the ratio will easily exceed 2 to 1.

After the interminable off-season I was hoping the premiere would be slightly better.
