Haha... I wasn't counting watching the clips from RedeTV, but I'm 99% sure that 15 pies is a new record for the women by quite a lot. A couple pies weren't great but almost every girl who got pied got pied well at SOME point. (The weak link, as always, is Dumb & Dumber... In addition to getting destroyed by all the females for four months straight, neither of them can seem to pie a girl correctly. One goes for this weird "hair pie" that misses the face... The other one thinks it's cute to "trip" into his pie hits, which basically means he gets the chin, nose, and forehead. ANYWAY. Rant over.)

Also, the "three pies in one show" hurdle was finally cleared... Twice! Dani got her best pieings ever, which was awesome to see. And the new brunette who seems to get pied every week (Naty?) got three too. She's becoming the show MVP... Takes 'em well, doesn't flinch or wipe immediately, and seems to enjoy it! (Makes up for the fact that Barb is suddenly Einstein again. 6-for-6 in the last two weeks.... Methinks someone put her foot down with the producers?.... )

That yellow hair-pie that slowly devolves into one that covers the entire top of the head is just marvelous.

Also Dani is my MVP. Every week she plays up the "total diva" thing then almost always gets a quality pie as a result.

This week's episode of Chega Mais registered a 1.4 share. This ties for the highest rating I've found. Last week's episode registered a puny .9.

This may be an anomaly since the entire RedeTV network had surging ratings on Sunday. Perhaps this had something to do with events in Brazil this weekend (holiday or lack of sporting events)?

In any case I'm temporarily canceling my prediction of a sudden cancellation of Chega Mais.

I hope that the producers deduce that pie-ing the women 15 times equals increased viewers and continue to deliver more (Mais) of the same!

Behind Paloma (to the right) looks like an outdoor bathroom facility. Oddly, it appears to be without a door! I'm not sure if that's a shower behind the sink or just a mirror. In any case it looks as though they're provided somewhere to clean up a bit.

^^Well, it was mostly just common sense... I was on an outdoor set recently involving an actress smearing mud all over her face and arms (really just ice cream, but...) and once the shot was done, she had a robe and towels and got whisked away in a van to clean up.

And while CM apparently has a lower budget, I guarantee they would NOT be able to keep any of their current models on the show if they were forcing them to drive home in their own cars, still covered in pie and slime.

In fact, I personally have a MUUUUUUUUUUCH lower budget for a shoot than even Chega Mais... And yet there's only been ONE time where a model has left a shoot still covered in mess (in my car, not hers, but still) and couldn't shower until she got home. (Bonus points to whoever remembers this crazy story!)

So, for those who speak the lingo....what does "Chega Mais" mean in English?

"Come closer." So, basically, nothing.

The female guest Chega Mais had on this week is excessively cute. Her name is Cacau Lemos. I looked her up. She's a YouTuber. She makes a lot of videos where she talks a lot.

Chega Mais has invited a plethora of no talent YouTubers to participate in the pie segment over the past several months. Mostly males and mostly Justin Bieber wannabees with ridiculous hairstyles.

The crop of remaining Brazilian youth YouTubers must be pretty thin because Cacau Lemos last ten YouTube videos average only about 15K views each.

This means that if you speak Portuguese, apply some styling gel to your hair and crank out a few lightly viewed YouTube videos you could be inches away from having the opportunity to throw a pie in Barbara's face!

Unfortunately I fail to meet these metrics.

Update: This episode is apparently a break with the regular format of men versus women in a pie fight. Except for a few of the women (Barbara, Dani, Naty) the other contestants are not CM regulars.

I'm gonna guess that the beach episode might be a waste for us. They COULD come through with quality pies but I'm guessing the outdoor conditions will make the normally gooey CM ones suffer. (Or they might do no pies at all, since they're changing up all the usual stunts?....)

Anyway, it's just one episode. Also, those bathing suits are odd... The girls look quite a bit better in their normal dresses!

I'd enjoy watching the CM women mud wrestle! Hell yeah! Unfortunately the ring appears to contain soap bubbles.

Update: After further study of the available pictures my best guess is that a few CM women are competing in a separate show that features games played on the beach. This is not a change in the format of CM. It's most likely a singular episode to be shown during the Christmas/New Year holiday weeks.

The important words are "in your country". This block is of a different nature than the last one.

I'm going to reiterate this request. It also sounds like lchris and I were not the only ones who didn't get to see this. (I did try downloading the whole thing several times while it was up, but my downloads kept failing for some reason.)

If anyone did get the whole thing, I -- and I'm sure many others here -- would really appreciate an upload of the pie game portion of the show.

Been a little busy, kids, but let me see what I can do tomorrow.

FTR, I've made edits of every CM since the show began... All 720p except for that initial run (and the weird 3 weeks in the middle) when the YouTube channel did not upload them. The whole idea of "cliptapes" is a bit outdated now (except for WAMTEC) but I've actually had several customers request DVDs from me!

(I used to upload the PoR clips in 1080p back when that was the only game in town... They were free clips in my DL Store. But there's stricter copyright issues now at Vidown so that's not an option anymore... )

Thanks! That was far and away the longest I EVER spent on one clip... 2.5 hours to shoot, a week to edit... 4 minutes to watch. But it's been my "calling card" ever since. I definitely got a few models on board after they watched it!

I warned Toshia up front and she was fine with it. She actually got the fewest amount of pies (7-8?) and slime (1) than any other scene before or since, and I had towels so she could wipe up most of herself. But yes, her sitting on a plastic-covered passenger seat in my car for the drive back is a hysterical memory....

We'll have to wait to find out if the YouTube block for the U.S. and U.K. is permanent or if it's isolated just to this episode.

CM didn't even have a musician on this week so I don't know where the Sony Music block comes from.

I estimate at least half their YT views originate from outside Brazil. Perhaps the producers finally noticed this and thought WTF is going on?

Also, yesterday, around the same time, CM blocked their FaceBook page. Now you have to have a FB account to view the page.

I'm thinking the YT and FB blocks may be a coordinated effort to get rid of everybody who doesn't live in Brazil and watch CM primarily on RedeTV!

One more thing. The beach episode apparently will include pie throwing. The few pictures available primarily show male recipients but if you look closely you can see a couple of women in the background with pie on them.
