Well that's kinda the problem we have. You both ran the account and no one was made aware. While I get a production can be ran by one or several people, a simple header at the top of the profile stating such would solve much of the confusion. We also still have the matter of a 3rd party having mod access privileges and MM was never aware until recently.

I don't think anyone is out for your collective hides. We are asking for clarification. No one once ask for a banning, or suspension or to start closing down stores or any of that shit. As I said previously, and even Flora and MM agreed, we don't think this was out of maliciousness. It has been stated that you have been on set of every shoot since God knows when without fail or mishap so we can only presume that you are safe. It is really the lack of communication and disclosure that is the hiccup and how can we prevent this sort of misunderstanding in the future. Again, a female is going to behave differently in the presence of another female. There is an inherited trust that a male producer is just not immediately going to have at first contact with a model. For instance, there are things my fiancé will share with her girlfriends that she won't share with me sometimes and there are a plethora of reasons why from self confidence and self esteem issues to just plain not wishing to divulge it until she passes it by her friends first.

And yes, I clearly remember the Leon debacle and You (Or Chantelle, or both. See? this is why this is kinda confusing) and Filthy Girl stepped up and trust me, no one appreciates that more than me. That is why I think we are trying to discuss rules for business operations and keeping that separate from the identities who run them. Also such rules will help prevent those who might abuse their roles. Not saying you or anyone in particularly but anyone. According to what I have read so far, a producer can, at their leisure, take the ID of a model they worked with, upload it to UMD to become verified, assume their identity on here and, in time, become a moderator. If that is the case, we need a better system in place, like yesterday.

It would be fair to say that you both have a huge mess in front of you to transition through before you are actively producing again. Wish you both a painless transition as I can understand how intertwined lives make things difficult to navigate a separation.

I would say to MM that we need a more robust system for clearing mods for service and a way of differing Businesses and individuals. At least that is my take away. I don't think any harm was intended BUT I do have a problem with the lack of transparency. Again, a simple disclaimer at the top of the profile would have solved any confusion and plenty of other profiles on here do it already. Clearly, at least two people were unaware of this fact who contacted Chantelle's account.

As for the other profiles already doing it, we aren't cool with that either and that is why MM is working on a solution and updating ToS.

Thanks for chiming in and clearing things up. It is appreciated. As stated, I didn't think it was an ill attempt at anything diabolical but I do think all producers need to be transparent on who the ladies are working with and communicating to, especially if that profile is an assumed female on the forum.

I split from Chantelle two weeks ago, but up until two days ago we were still talking and sorting out a number of different financial commitments and personal commitments and that included this site where the majority of the videos were owned by me.
This meant that while we were sitting down doing a lot of stuff we still were answering questions, and I don't know how many times I have to say it.
Chantelle is just the name, the same as many accounts on here, it's the name of the model or business representing a number of models it doesn't mean you are personally talking to that mod each and every day many people here on the same account and if that means a change needs to happen to clarify that I'm sure Derek will deal with that but in the meantime I'm sick and tired of answering the same questions. I've clearly stated everything, and if people choose to ignore it, or try to come up with another reason for which hunting even myself or Chantelle then so be it.
Chantelle hasn't replied here personally, because she is computer illiterate , and if there is a reply from her account, I can assure you it will not be from her but from her old producer so I'm not going to keep banging my head against the wall justifying why we both dealt with these enquiries or messages together I was the fingers on the keyboard. It's a good example that a boss will have a secretary. With regards to her being computer illiterate, she has disclosed it on previous occasions to different people we have spoken to and it's something she's not proud of, but we are not all college academics even I don't pretend to be but she's not ashamed of her condition and also suffers from dyslexia as you may or may not pick up. You can hear it when she talks as she cannot describe certain things or certain words she is not ashamed of it she's actually proud of the fact she became who she did with these conditions. Exactly the same situation though the Kik account was just about arranging studio enquiries and nothing personal went through it. It's just when it comes to talking about payments for studio hire. There are certain words that are not allowed to be used here hence why it was set up.

Ok, some folk might need more tech-minded assistance to actually create, edit, and upload content, and run a store, but I simply cannot believe that an inteligent and capable adult, which Chantelle clearly is, can't log into a website, click messages, click on one, click reply, type a response and click Submit. That simplty beggars belief.

As a general point to anyone where an account is shared, I would suggest that each user always signs messages with their own name/username, or initials thereof, *and* make clear in the account profile information that messages may be read and replied to by more than one person.

I can accept that what's happened here wasn't delibaretly malicious (never ascribe to conspiracy that which is better ascribed to cock-up), but the result is the same, trust has been shattered, completely.

And no, I am not celebrating the fall of a competitor or wanting to hang anyone out to dry, far from it, I believe that the more successful producers there are, the better all of us will do long term, competition is a good thing, as it brings more people to the overall market.

Just to clarify any messages that were ever sent to somebody both personally, or on the site if they were replied to directly by me and were only my thoughts, they would've been signed as D, Daz or Darren, and not Chantelle.
I have sent countless messages to Derek over the years and been very clear who he is talking to at the time, and I'm sure he will confirm this and the way the emails or messages were signed off with him as well
Any messages replied to with Chantelle's presence and input would've been signed by Chantelle

I think it is only natural to expect to receive a large number of questions when you reveal that for 25 years you have been accessing messages that people believed they were sending to Chantelle. At no point have I ever suspected that anyone else had access to her account and most DMs or posts "she" signed with "her" name which would suggest it was her but in fact it was not. I feel you are missing the point here. Flora shared personal information with Chantelle in confidence due to the fact that she believed she was conversing with Chantelle, not Chantelle + you. It's not about who worded the reply but the fact the trust was broken and people were misled.

With regards to whether Derek removed moderator or not, I can confirm I advised him towards the end of last week at both Chantelle and myself, we're going to be splitting. I then updated him over the weekend to Confirm that this had happened and that her old producer was now going to try and run the profile on his own and suggested he removed the moderator status. I was upfront and honest with Derek and that's why it was removed, which I'm sure he will happy to confirm. This conversation took place as Chantelle, but any longer looking to do anything with the day-to-day running of her profile

To me, as both a user and a producer, I find it deeply concerning that even our moderators may not be the people we think they are and can act with such poor faith for so long. It is clear actions are already being taken and more are needed but how can the appropriate actions be taken that are in the best interest of the community if the community themselves aren't aware of the goings on?

Memories from so far back that they're long-gone from UMD, but I vaguely remember when Chantelle first stopped producing, way back, it was stated to be because she was working as a teacher (or starting to do so?) and hence doing fetish work was too high risk. This is memory from a long time ago so apologies if I'm misremembering.

But Chantelle herself always came over as a capable and intelligent person, after all someone who wasn't would be at serious risk of harm playing in deep mud, I've got some of her videos. So it seems strange she'd have needed to dictate responses to messages via someone else.

But regardless, the problem here is that the impression was clearly given, to the point MM made her a mod, that Chantelle ran her own account. If that wasn't the case, it should have been stated, clearly, in the account profile.

The underlying issue here is one of trust.

Honestly, her profession is irrelevant. It's neither fish nor foul in regards to this instance. Her aptitude (or lack of) behind the computer is also irrelevant. You don't need a computer science degree to put a simple header or disclaimer on a profile stating that messages may be answered by more than one team member.

Like I get your frustration because you got this piled up on top of everything personal you got going on at home but try looking at it from our perspective here. A lot of us are hearing, for the first time, about a guy who played secretary for Chantelle on her profile all these years, acting as a mod and we are not sure what actions were made under the assumption that we were dealing with a singular female. You were privy to details no one was to have access to except for her. You were answering DMs as her on her behalf, some I would wager entailed sensitive or potentially private information.

For all we know you broke up, logged in changed the password and took the only computer with you. My girlfriend who I live with is dyslexic and there are times I have to help her reword things and spell things. But at the end of the day, it is her behind the advanced typewriter.

Daz may well be correct that this is commonplace. However, based on this discussion, a lot of people clearly assumed that they were talking to the person whose name and photo was on the account. Maybe that's naive, or maybe that's a reasonable assumption; either way, there was confusion.


I think that the proposed solution (having "business" as a gender option) is a good idea, and it will certainly help with shared business accounts. However, it won't entirely address the issue.

Taking this example, suppose that Daz and Chantelle weren't running a business, but he was still helping her to type messages. MessMaster is saying "that's acceptable", but I think it would still be a problem when people think that they're talking to a particular person in confidence. The simplest solution would be to put both names on the account (which "JD and Messy Andi" are already doing). I realise that's very difficult to enforce, but encouraging it (via the TOS) would be a good place to start.
