Going to shoot my first cake sitting video soon, never worked with cake before and was wondering if anyone had any tips as I've only worked with slime in the past.
Specifically, what kind of cakes to buy/avoid, how long do they need to sit out of the fridge to get to the perfect temperature for squishing, cleanup tips, do's and don'ts for cake, etc.
Went ahead and purchased a clear chair, will be working with multiple cameras. Should be a good shoot. Fully clothed. Likely won't be released for purchase, but could pave the way for future releases, if it goes well.
Buy some cheap frozen double chocolate gateaux from a supermarket. When you are ready to shoot, take them out of the packaging three or four hours before you shoot. Once they've thawed, cut into 8 and move the slices slightly apart from each other. Then pour custard into the opened up spaces.
Absolutely guaranteed to make a spectacular mess of the seat of whatever you wear to sit on it.
When filming, first sit facing backwards, so the main camera has a perfect view of your bottom going down into the cake. Then stand up again so the audience can see the damage. If wearing a skirt or dress, sit back down still facing away from the camera. But if wearing trousers, shorts, leggings, or a jumpsuit, come round to the front and sit back down facing forwards, legs open, so we can see the squished mess coming up between your legs.
Attached, a couple of images of Friday sitting on a gateaux prepared as explained above, you can see how both the cake and the custard has covered the back of her smart uniform skirt.
If a lady sitting in it don't have any fruits with little seeds on/ in it.
Don't use foods anyone sitting in or using same shower has food allergy or food sensitivity too Having a lot of it mix into steam is bad obviously if Inhailed as they normally wouldn't be exposed to it that way, unless they work in a kitchen or dishwashing room

That ls superb and very important advice. While generally you don't find such things in supermarket gateaux - but it's still wise to check anyway - you often do in more upmarket cakes from specialist shops that are designed to be stackable like a wedding cake. Sitting on a cake with hidden plastic pillars inside could be painful, and people have been badly injured - potentially to the extent of losing an eye - from unxpected faceplants into wedding cakes.

That's a good article for people into naked cake sitting, but really needs some heavy duty editing to balance it - not everyone is into nudity and cake sitting can be equally awesome fully clothed, just in a different way. The squish as the spotless outfit is lowered into the slop, the changing feelings from dry to damp to wetness as the mess soaks through the fabric(s). There's a world of difference between cake sitting in yoga pants with no underwear - very similar feelings to doing it naked - and doing it wearing a high quality smart formal suit with full underwear and pantyhose, for example. Or wearing a beautiful long satn gown, but with no underwear - different feelings again. And that's just from the POV of how the person doing it feels - there's also the visuals, seeing someone willingly lower their clean clothed bottom into what you and they know will become a spectacular mess is just awesme. Our Aurora really, really enjoys cake sitting, in fact she's said it's her favourite messy thing to do, though she does also love playing in the mud.
