I live in Vegas part time, so I'll be there. I only have a 1-bedroom condo though, so that limits my ability to offer free accommodations to just Jayce and Ariel
One thing to watch for is that most Strip resorts have started charging for self-parking and Valet this year. That's on top of the "resort fee" which gets tacked onto your room rate. Together, that can add $30-$50 a night to your "cheap" room rate. Paid parking is new on the strip but downtown has had it for decades. Here's a list of the strip resorts that don't charge, from north to south:
Stratosphere SLS (formerly Sahara) Circus Circus Wynn/Encore Venetian/Palazzo Treasure Island Planet Hollywood Tropicana Hooters Four Seasons
None of the off-strip resorts charge for parking and they tend to be a lot cheaper anyway.
They doing that ''resort fee'', too.. Niagara falls is doing that, too, as well as the jacked up parking fees, and a tourism tax , up to 10%. on top of our 13% tax on everything
I just want to throw an idea out there. We should try to set something up similar to what London Splosh Games did this past weekend. I'm not sure what setting up something like this would entail but I'd be up for helping out in any way possible. Thoughts???

That's not a bad idea.. If we can consult the experts here on their specialties.. be it , organization, procuring/disposing gallons of molasses, experience with either spolosh meetups , or fet conventions.. photographers, volunteer hostesses.. obtaining super soakers.. brainstorming a venue... it could work...
I would DEFINITELY be down to something like that next year! It's around my birthday and it would work perfectly to plan a trip to Vegas and work as a good excuse! Haha it would be my first time meeting anyone from UMD and it would be a dream come true
Just updated the even a little bit, and I'll start a thread for it somewhere The "official" dates will be May 2 through 6, thought there are no official activities planned. Hopefully some of us can organize that stuff as the days go on, and I'll add any updates to the event itself. Thanks for the info Soundguy.
