I don't have a problem with it. I'm pretty simple with pizza, my favorite is plain old pepperoni with mushrooms (canned ones, not fresh chopped ones). But I'm not opposed to having a Hawaiian pizza.
Yes, but only on what tends to be called a 'hawaiian' in the uk, which is ham and pineapple. Pineapple goes beautifully with gammon so it makes sense to me
I wouldn't add it as a random topping to other kinds, like margherita, meat feast etc
Nope not on any pizza. There is nothing I loathe more than ham and pineapple on pizza. Second to that is people who insist on calling ham Canadian Bacon. There is no difference between Canadian Bacon and regular Bacon unless you are talking pizza.
But I do reserve the right to subject those who eat the abomination in front of me to a big nasty "Eeeeeeew!" followed by, "How can you possibly eat that?"
Pineapple on pizza just weirds me out. Why not, while we're at it, make a pineapple-meatloaf sandwich? Or how about pineapple-beef-and-bean burritos?
I do love pineapple, by the way. But not on a pizza. Once in a great while, though, I blend my own virgin Pina Coladas, because pineapple does work well with coconut.
And it's delicious served fresh, without anything else on it at all.
This song's not for every one, but I think it's hilarious, especially the part where his bud shows up with the pizzas and one of them has pineapple and he just loses his shit.
And so there we have it, the UMD has spoken. 47 to 23, so basically two thirds Yay, one third Nay.

I have my own views on the subject of fungal abomination but fair enough on Hawaiian.

I think the name Hawaiian is universal, ham and pineapple as a topping was invented in Canada and the brand of the canned pineapple rings was "Hawaiian", hence the name. Though you have to be careful with it, because Dominos seem to think that a Hawaiian should also include FUNGAL ABOMINATION!!! A crime for which nuking the entire chain from orbit would seem excessively lenient.

That reminds me of the "Barbie-Q them - burn them on a pyre of Barbies" punishment that someone invented some decades ago in a book group.

Sorry, not sorry
Yes, well!
Shades of my anti-seafood rant: "If it ever swam in the sea, other than sheep, cattle, or pigs, escaping a shipwreck, it is UNFIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION!!
VegasWam said: I agree with Candy's assessment. It belongs on some pizza, with the right toppings to compliment it.

Never heard of Candian Bacon, surely bacon is bacon, and mainly belongs in a Full Scottish Breakfast - bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, fried bread, potato scone, black pudding, chips, topped off with half a gallon of ketchup - rather than on a pizza?
piboiva said: A long time ago, I worked at a pizza place. My favorite pizza there was their meat lovers with bacon and pineapple.
But my favorite pizza of all time was the meat lovers from Mazzio's with anchovies.
I'll pass on the anchovies, but bacon on pizza seems an interesting combination, presumably not crispy bacon?

Bacon again, going to have to investigate this as an option, I've never seen it offered as a pizza topping. Yay for pineapple!

Hush hush with your sensible and reasonable arguments, don't you know that's not how flame wars are sustained?

Well, that is a bit extreme.

I have an Italian friend who is constantly threatening to call the IFP (Italian Food Police) on anyone who makes a pizza with anything other than traditional Italian ingreedients. Her opinion of my favourite, deep-pan ham and pineapple pizza is to say the least, thermonuclear.

True. Though tempted to try it with kebab meat at some point.

THAT IS EPIC!!!
I will be sharing that with my Italian, pineapple-on-pizza-hating, friend, who is also into metal, she'll love it!

All I could think of when I read this was the bit where Tom Green goes on Jon Stewart with bacon and Canadian bacon haha.
