There have definitely been times when I've clicked on one of the featured site ads on the homepage, or one of the sidebar ads. Unlike almost everywhere else on the Internet (including the R-rated areas ) the ads here actually WORK.
But it's totally frustrating to just be dropped to that site's homepage, with no context or information on how or where to find the actual thing I clicked on.
I'm sure I'm not alone - if I'm clicking on one of these ads it's because something *specific* about that ad caught my interest. If I landed on the download page for that specific clip, or the blog post on that site that contained that particular content, or even just a teaser page featuring that specific model.... there would be a heck of a lot higher chance of retaining me on that site for more than 5 seconds.
In short... when I click on an ad it's because i'm looking for "sauce"! Not just browsing around.
Maybe that would be too onerous on the part of the advertisers to do... but it sure would be nice.

I agree! A lot of times, a picture attracts my attention either for the lady, or the mess, or the situation. I click on it, and get a general website homepage or something. I click around for a few minutes, don't see what I was looking for, and leave. If the links led directly to what the teaser pic was, I'd be more likely to buy that vid.
I'm with you on this, and I'll be working to make them more specific in the future. It'll only be possible where the affiliate provides us with those deep links. Thanks!
