Hi, this question is for you slime and gunge experts!
We are so noob in this and we want to ask you, if we buy like 1.25Kg of Methylcellulose or maybe Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), how much slime we can get?
Or if you can tell us something like "well, with 100g you can make 10 liters of thick slime" or "with 100g you can make 10 liters of standard slime" (we don't know if this is even possible sorry haha) we appreciate.
Hope you can tell us!
(We purchased in a drug store, so, we don't know how much slime we can get)
it depends since most gunge suppliers will normally say how many litres you will get from there mixes along with the amount of powder you getting. also the thinner you make it the more gunge you can get.

It really does depend on the grade of Methyl or carboxy methyl cellulose that you buy. The nature of the product is that there are various grades to give a different thickening capability so the more slime a KG will make. Our current batch of CMC needs around 20 - 22g per litre to make slime. We have had other Methyl cellulose that only needs 14 - 16 g per litre and others that need 25 - 28g per litre. Hope that gives some idea though.
If anyone needs that in "Freedom Units" plain old industrial methyl cellulose needs about 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup per gallon. The food-grade kind (hydroxyethyl cellulose) seems to be more like 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup
