I do not want to say any names or say anyones bad I do like everyone here I am just getting annoyed because I payed this girl 100.00 on Feb 13, and I still did not get my custom video, I messaged her a few times, I been very patient and nice about but its been over a month and its been to long, she made excuses and i gave her the benifit of the doubt but now its gone to far and I want my Video, should I wait a little long or ask for my refund, they customs always take more than a month? I like Kaydens and I hope her and I stay friends, but I am just getting really annoyed that it took this long and I still got nothing. Like I said I am not trying to say shes bad or evil because I like her and think shes really nice, but do customs always take this long? I messaged her over and over the last few days and she just keeps ignoring me.
gness7 said: A good custom producer will keep you updated every step of the way: (s)he will give you a deadline for her to make the video and stick with it. If (s)he has to postpone it, there will be a credible reason and a new deadline. And if there are multiple delays the producer should offer a refund before you have to demand it (and yes, you need to be in a demanding mood at this point).
I respect your desire not to name names* but if she really is just "this girl," you probably shouldn't have trusted her with any money. I know the horses have left the barn here and I don't want to pile on, but you have to look for the utmost professionalism when deciding who to approach for a custom. At the very least I don't do business with anyone who doesn't have a website--and no, a UMD profile is not a website. If you don't think enough of your work to give yourself a real web presence, you don't deserve my money. You also need to make sure they have some sort of back catalog of work to show they're not some fly by night job. A network of other models and producers who can vouch for him/her would be ideal. It takes research and your options may be limited after all is said and done, but your money is worth it.
Sorry, I digress. To answer your question, we can't really answer your question. Take control of the situation. Demand answers and threaten to call her out on UMD if you have to.
* - Now that I think about it, I don't get it. We need to know the names of these people if we're going to create an environment of professional security. UMD'ers need to stop worrying about the community's fee fees and respect their own hard-earned money.

Personally speaking I never commit to any shorter than a month, sometimes a little longer. Occasionally things do over run but I've never had complaints about it because I speak to my clients, try to be realistic about what and when I can do but most importantly I don't spend the money (except on costumes for the shoot etc) until after the shoot is done just in case I have to refund for some reason.
The temptation is always there to pile up the custom work and grab the cash (which is quite a good amount) but I resist it because if it goes wrong and you piss people off then that's your future business gone. Reputation is hard won and easily lost! E.g this month alone I've had to tell two custom clients who approached me with funds ready to start projects now that I could not speak to them seriously about their shoots until next month because I have projects I am already committed to to complete first. I also turned down another offer to pay for two shoots back to back from one client because I know I realistically only have time to do one of them.
As Daniel Craig said in Layercake: it doesn't matter whether you're selling shoes or blowjobs as long as you don't take the piss people will always come back for more.
If I ever get a proper office Im gonna have that written on the wall!
So good luck with your custom. I hope it works out for you and that the girl in question has just had some genuine problems, it does happen!

I just sent her a few messages and she never answers, even when it says shes online, I guess its safe to say Kaydens666 stole my money and screwed me, Shes as bad as Skylar Evans, Do not let Kaydens666 scam you like she scammed me. Shes A Con Artist
I've gotten a couple customs from her before and she's managed to usually get back to me on time. That being said, I sent her an email a couple weeks ago and got a response back almost a week later. I don't think it's on purpose. I remember her mentioning at one point that she was having internet issues or using someone else computer (one of the two), and she's essentially working her store, customs, and if she collaborates with other models (which she does do sometimes). I don't think she's ignoring you, I just think she has a lot going on at one time and hasn't seen your email yet. And no, she's not worse than Skylar. Skylar took 6 months to get me something and I had to stay on her pretty much constantly.

Sorry to hear you've been kept waiting and while I must confess that if I was in your situation I'd also be seeing red, I think it's worth pointing out that there's a distinction to be made between (1) models who are really busy, (2) models who are a bit disorganised or take on more than they can cope with and (3) models who are outright scammers. For what it's worth, my guess is the model in question probably falls somewhere between the first two.
I'm also a contractor for a living. If a took a client's money then fell off the planet, I could expect a knock on the door from my local police department then be arrested for fraud.
My clients pay me and don't give a flying f*** about my personal situation.
Sorry to hear about this hopefully I'm right in saying that she will have a custom page on her store if I was you I'd leave a review just to make more people aware
A few of you guys have raised another fair point in the comments above about what stage you should part with your money. In the past I've had people who know nothing about me or my work virtually falling over themselves to pay up in full before we've even finished negotiating what we're going to do and when. Now that's not my style although sometimes once something's been agreed a client has emailed saying "I've sent you all the money!". As I said before if I was buying I'd only pay for actual costs incurred by the model for the shoot upfront and I'd pay the remainder (their fee basically) on proof of completion. I know the model could argue this makes them vulnerable but it's how I do it and I've never had a client not pay the second half. This is how contract work is done in almost every business so I think it's readonable. That way if it goes wrong you don't loose so much money but also if the model needs to do the work before they are paid then you might find the enthusiasm and communications levels go up a bit at their end too.

I am not alone on this huh wow kaydens666 is just pure evil, thanks for the support everyone. If I knew her info I would call the police, but you guys in the wam community and messmaster are all I got for support right now, thank you again guys. I work really hard for my money, and it sucks I paid her all in full. I hope she replies, sends me my money back or video because this is ridiculous over a month, and she kept on making excuses
Just kind of contributing, I am waiting on a custom as well, for a bit longer than T-1000 by a few months, September to be honest, but I'm not going to join a lynch mob against Kaydens.
I would like to point out that I'm a bit upset by Kaydens not getting me my custom, but I want to also say that going all out and saying she's evil isn't right either. True, she has been silent, and in this day and age she should have some access to some form of email or our own private messaging system, and yet she hasn't messaged me since January. I'm not justifying her silence, in fact I'm rather put off by it myself, but I understand it to some extent where when a witch hunt like this occurs, she might be hesitant to reply. Again, if she were to give a clear message to clear the air, it would be much better than this, but my guess is embarrassment and fear of backlash(justified as it may be) is what has kept her from responding directly. She told me that her personal laptop died, and yes, I know this has been a reason before for her, but this could contribute to her silence(not justifying, just informing of a fact and voicing a possibility)
Sure, she's taken your money, my money, and maybe some others; but it is a little harsh to compare her to someone like Skylar Evans. When I began to grow annoyed at the lack of a response I messaged messmaster in a professional, polite manner addressing my concerns. While I still am waiting to hear back from Kaydens, messmaster looked into it and offered his assistance in contacting her.
I understand how you feel T-1000, as I said, I too am waiting for a custom commissioned in September, so I really get your reaction, $100 isn't cheap. But it's not like the $500-$1000+ I've heard about from Skylar's victims. However, as wamprincess pointed out, there is a general protocol to these things. I might be biased as another custom I commissioned from Kaydens, the Ghostbusters themed scene to be exact, was made quickly, she was very communicative, and made very fast work, but I feel that to voice your concerns in the public forum and to do so in as upset a tone as I feel, wouldn't get your custom finished faster. I feel that it might make Kaydens less likely to make your custom the way you asked, or even to drive her away from offering customs.
I'd like to close in saying Kaydens has taken my money, but it was money I was willing to part with, I'm not hurting over the lack of money, I'm upset that she hasn't delivered yet, but I'd rather her make the scene I asked her to make, not just a quickly thrown together scene to placate me. If Kaydens reads this, I hope she isn't scared off by angry customers, but that she'll do what is right in each situation. I received a scene based on my commission, not quite what I asked for, but pretty darned close in January, do I still want my requested custom? You bet, but she tried to make things up to me. If it's best for all that she give you your money, that's fine. I'll wait until she makes my custom and that's what will be best for me.
It all depends. Lots of things play into scheduling - models real life schedules, how many other custom videos are paid before you, how big the custom video studio is that you booked with, etc. Some are better than others, look for testimonials from other clients. We have hundreds and hundreds of positive testimonials, but we have been in the business for over 10 years as well. Example - and keep in mind that this is for our studio, and we handle ALL fetish requests, not just messy - right now we have 16 custom videos paid for waiting to be filmed. Some are awaiting props to arrive, some are waiting on model schedules, some are being filmed today. We generally are able to get your custom out withing 7-10 days after payment is made, sometimes much quicker, but sometimes longer if some prop has to be ordered or there is alot of special FX going into production. BUT - customer service should be #1 priority! - We do emails at least once a day - and sometimes there can be 20-60 emails to write back to, but we like to pride ourselves on outstanding customer service. I hope you end up getting positive results with the studio you chose, but if not, or even if you do, we urge you to check us out! Good luck!
A producer should give you a date that they will be able to shoot your custom and then tell you how many days editing should take. If they are unable to deliver by the estimated date they should contact you, explain why the video will not be done and then state when they will be able to deliver it. If the customer is unhappy with the delay they should be offered a refund. If you can't or just won't be professional with your customers then you shouldn't be offering custom videos.
1/ As long as guys are happy to think with their dicks and open their wallets to pay the pretty girl for a custom naughty video, there will be people around to take advantage of that. They'll see it as easy money.
2/ I've never bought a custom, so I'm not 100% sure of pricing, but I have a rough idea, and isn't $100 pretty cheap for one? So either that should set alarm bells off ringing, or it seems bizarre that someone would have completed customs and not scammed people for MORE than that, then decided to scam for such a small amount.
3/ Some people can be very impatient on customs, given that people have a real life. Yes, Kaydens may not have handled this professionally with updates, but we don't know what goes on behind her computer screen, so we can't really comment.
4/ I'm sure I'm not the only one that likes to keep my private life...private. If her personal computer is offline then that may be the only system she wants to access the UMD via. I don't want my phone to have fetish websites on the browser history and obviously I don't want to use public computers for it, so whilst I do have internet access, if I can't get to my laptop then that's me off the UMD for a while. Obviously it's different if you're actually providing a service on it, but it's a similar idea
