I heard an ad on the radio for a dry cleaner. They were talking about preserving wedding gowns.
It talked about taking your dress to them: ".....we've developed great methods for cleaning and restoring wedding gowns from the vintage dress that's yellow with time to the gown that shows how much fun you had at the reception!"
All I can think of is; your gown is dirty because of all the fun you had at the reception? Ummm, CAKE FIGHT?
I wonder if they can get wedding cake and other food out of the dress!
And for a messy picture to keep this on topic, here's the gorgeous Mrs. Bee looking like she had a LOT of fun at the reception!**

Hehe, I can assure there was no way that dress was salvageable after we got done with it. But I've been able to save many of my other WAM gowns. If anyone ever need laundry tips, I'm your gal.
My dry cleaners used to have a poster on the wall of a middle-aged couple in formalwear who had obviously been in a pie or cake fight. And with the attractive girls behind the cleaners' counter I was never late picking up my suits and shirts.

I think it would have been funny to walk into that dry cleaners' with that wedding gown and see if they could get it clean! And when they asked what happened, you would say, " I had a LOT OF FUN at my reception! Can't you tell?"
