Hello,
As some of you may have seen we've been working on creating a valve to make your home gunge tank build easier. We have spent quite a long time and iteration to get to this point where we're happy to bring our gunge tank release for you to buy (currently only in the UK but digital download available world wide).
So whether you're looking for something to give your house party a big finale or if you're looking to just have fun with your own tank then take a look at our valve.

There's an internal flange that is 9mm thick. Basically the whole bucket is left to be filled.
Our one hangs from a hook we have in the shower that I put in to hang my bike gear when it gets wet. The item we have for sake is just the valve and doesn't include the bucket. It worked out far too expensive to post with a bucket.
That's a very clever design. Didn't think of pneumatics before.

It took a long while to figure out what would work. It started as pneumatic but that proved tricky to get working reliably so it's now hydraulic. The addition of some water makes it much more reliable.
You mentioned that you were trying to develop some different attachments for the release mechanism as well. Are you able to share what those might be if you have indeed been successful?

Yes we have a selection of nozzles that come with the valve, you'll be able to see in the video the narrow stream option. There's also a slot type to give several streams, a shower tipe that makes many small streams and one that's been designed to provide a flow shape that gives great coverage.

Yeah we're just waiting for it to be approved. Hopefully that'll be soon.
After looking at the photos again, I want to ask how it works with the two syringes. Do you just push one, and it lifts the valve?

Yes pretty much, pressing abd releasing the syringe allows you to open and shut the valve, you can even regulate the flow by just pressing it a bit.

and I'm sure if you were ever to choose to make content there would be a lot of interest for that too. What keeps the grates in the nozzle?

I have a valve I designed sitting here that I never got out there for purchase.
Mine has a touchscreen and a phone app to control the release and the speed.
I moved away from 3d printed valves, as if you use and foodstuff (especially dairy) with 3d prints, you will get mould growing in the layers of the 3d print, even if you clean it super-well with anti-bactierial.
Most 3d filaments are hygroscopic, so they absorb moisture.
You can use resin printing but that is very expensive (and you need to use food safe resin).
But... congrats on the system. Always good to see peoples ideas.
So.... just make sure you clean it well!

It really depends on what you want tour setup to be, I know one customer is using it as part of a whole gunge tank booth build which is very cool. For us I have a strong hook screwed into a beam over our shower. When not used for gungings I use it to hang up my bike gear to let it dry when I've been riding in the rain. Drilling a hole in the vessel should be pretty easy as for hanging it I would say perhaps ask someone who is DIY inclined to give you a hand.

The first one was about 3/4 of a bucket but without any nozzle on it drops it very fast which if you like the gunge dome effect (which I do) the second one was about 1/3 of a bucket through the narrow nozzle choice. This is a good one for longer more covering gungings. Maybe I need to do some more videos of the other nozzles in action.

You are of course correct, although the valve has been designed specifically for use with gunge so I've not really accounted for foods abd especially dairy (I'm lactose intolerant haha). The valve has been designed with certain parts bolted so it can be taken apart and cleaned. After use it's recommended to strip the valve down and fully clean and dry it.
If I still had access to a machine shop it would be great to make one with full engineering plastics for a premium gunging experience.
I've got plans to make some kind of electronic valve controller that can be used as a timer or other things.
I have actually seen some of your gunge devices and I have to say they are seriously nicely crafted and we're a big influence on me wanting to develop my own.
