i would be happy if someone can tell me the year that UMD went live?

An exact date, or at least the month?

Oddly enough, i only began to visit here "recently" (like a month or 2 at this point?)

It got me thinking (as i was trolling some profiles) there was one person that said "discovered UMD in my 20's" and that person is now in their 40's...

Has it been that long? (i suppose it HAS...) The first producer I became aware of was Rob Blaine (creator of "Messy Fun") back in 1997...23 years ago...

Yep, I lurked for a bit at uni then joined to answer a question folks were struggling with. That was 22 years ago and I'm in my mid 40s.
My UMD number is 6355 which I assume is the number of members at the time.

I stumbled across UMD sometime in the early 2000's.
I was just staggered by the amount of content, depth of discussion and
numbers of users.
It was a complete mind-opener.
I'd thought before it was just me that thought about all this.
What can I say, except thanks.
