Asked as in paying for Custom Videos or Photosets.
I have questions from the people who paid for their ideal videos to happen.
- How long does it take for certain producers to make your video? - Were you given options or did you have a set in stone idea? - When you received your video was it exactly what you wanted and were happy with the result or was it disappointing? - If it was disappointing did the model or producer offer a reshoot or refund?

Most producers deliver your video within a few business days of shooting it. Now the day when they shoot it depends on the model's availability. So don't expect to submit your payment and get your video later on that week. Make sure the producer tells you when they plan to shoot.
Customs are all about your idea. Just keep in mind that the producer has limitations that might require you to adjust your idea slightly. The model you want may not be available or a certain costume may cost your more or they simply don't have the space or equipment to execute something elaborate like a swimming pool full of slime. If you can't make the compromises that a producer may need you'll just have to look elsewhere.
Some producers were really good at delivering what I ask for, some producers were only okay at it, some really sucked! That's why it's important to do your research and exercise some critical judgement. If a producer cannot communicate himself or herself clearly over the internet, they probably don't have the skills or professionalism to execute someone's idea. If a producer is talented but has a style different from what you're looking for, they may be able to give a spirited representation of your idea but you may be disappointed that their style leaked through. Do. Your. Research.
LOL at reshoots or refunds. Even the most professional WAM producers don't make enough money to afford the hit that a reshoot or a refund would cause. That's why it's important to...well...see the end of the previous paragraph.
Hope that helps!
I have done 2 re-shoots of wam custom videos even though it did mean taking a financial hit. Both times it was because I made a mistake that was significant enough that I would have felt bad giving the customer the original video. Personally I think reshooting or refunding someone is worth it too keep your customers happy, it's a n investment in your reputation. That being said I'm not going to give someone a free video for something little like using 14 pies instead of 15 pies.
I think you can tell if a producer is willing to go the extra mile if they ask you details about the script you provide like exactly what recipe you want used for things like pie or slime. And asking other customers about their experiences with certain producers is always a good idea.
And it's important to be realistic, no one can read your mind. If there are details you feel are important but don't mention them the producer may overlook those details.
It really varies depending on what is important to you and how close your fantasy is to what the producer typically does.
The easiest custom experiences I've had were with Miss T, Messy Jessie, and Leila Hazlett. Working with Miss T and Messy Jessie were very easy because they were already producing something close to what I wanted and I only have to make a few tweaks.
Working with Leila was easy because she goes out of her way to get every detail right.
I've also had very satisfying custom experiences with Messygirl and but that took more time, effort and money. This was mostly because I asked them to do something outside of their usual, primarily because I liked particular models in their stable. We ran into a number of roadblocks, since I had asked them to use a substance they had never used before, plus they are in high demand and busy with lots of other custom requests. In the end, I got what I was looking for, but I had to pay for more than one video and wait over a year. It was worth it to me, but ymmv.
In addition to the above professional producers, I've gotten amazing videos from amateur producers like Pie Burglar. Working with amateur producers will usually require some patience, since, by definition, they don't have the resources of professionals. They have day jobs and shoot when they can, so you have to be flexible. The upside is that they tend to be really enthusiastic about the process and the end result reflects that.
I've also had a number of really bad custom experiences, but I won't mention names since nearly all of them have left umd. With the exception of one well known scammer, the commonality between all of the producers who turned out shit customs was that they were producers from other fetishes who were dipping their toes into the WAM market. If someone shows up here offering customs without having produced WAM videos before, run the other direction. It's not that they are going out of their way to scam you, they just probably think WAM is something that it isn't.
TL,DR: (1) Find a producer that does similar work to what you want (2) Amateur producers are a great option if you're not in a rush (3) When in doubt, Leila Hazlett is probably your best bet
1. Don't ask someone to do something not in their wheelhouse. For example, don't ask Rich for something really raunchy. Don't ask Anglefan for a long, choreographed 4 girl scene. if you want a YCDTOTV-type scene, Rich and Ken are your guys.
2. You will usually get what you want (or something close) if you are VERY specific and you send several emails discussing the details. Every time I have been disappointed it has been because there was a detail (that I cared about) that I failed to mention in the script.
3. If something is wrong with the finished product, be forgiving to your producer (unless its a BLATANT disregard for most of what you discussed.) They can't read your mind and quite often are giving it a lot of effort.
4. It could take up to year to get what you want from some producers. Most times, it takes a month or two. If you want something FAST, look at twitter and enter models you like in the search engine. Many will have postings that say when and where they are shooting and to write them for a custom during that specific shoot. The thing that makes customs take months upon months is getting your specific models all in the same room at the same time. This is one way to bypass that.
5. If there is ANY hope of a reshoot or refund, it will only happen if you are very courteous and understanding. Demanding a refund/reshoot will only get you ignored.
I've only just spotted this thread. Leila Hazlett has done 4 custom videos for me so far and in every case has done her absolute best to provide everything that I've asked for. As she'll testify, I'm very specific and rather fussy about what I like, but I give her a basic outline of a "storyline" for each video (some are more detailed than others!) and then she makes every effort to fulfil all of my requirements and suggestions, whilst making it look in the video like it's what she would have chosen to do herself!
I'm sure the hardest part for her is trying to provide the style and atmosphere that I ask for, but she does it with with great skill and professionalism, to the extent that it looks completely natural and effortless!
For the above reasons, I can't praise or recommend Leila highly enough. I hope she knows how pleased and grateful I am to her for bringing my ideas to life in such a sensational way.
Leila - I hope you're feeling OK after your operation and that it gives you some lasting improvement.

Now I'm back and I have Mike we are much quicker to film and deliver. Our first one went to Germany with the files sent straight over via We Transfer and then we posted the blouse from the scene the next day. I'll always do what is asked so long as now it's not nude/topless or giving rude instructions etc Also it's important for customers to remember the producers of messy films have additional prep time to keep the room clean, buy and make the mess and clean up time. Sessions are the same. Jessie x
