I see that you've only been here for 5 months so you weren't here for when the wotd rules had to be changed lol bri messy bakery, impressively, held the wotd position for months straight. Like any sort of "social media" you get what you put into it. If you're active, posting, liking, commenting, and interacting with people they will do the same back fwiw.
I've been here since UMD started in 1998, I've been a producer running Saturation Hall and its associted sites since 2005 - 21 years. In all that time I've been WOTD precisely once, thanks to a wonderful scene of Maude in the mudbanks in a PVC catsuit. Once only.
I ignore it. It's mainly the people who do hardcore full nude sex WAM, people into humilation (a side of WAM that I'm not into), and random guys from the male side. We do what we do and make steady sales, the income from which goes back into model fees, material costs, and outfits, to shoot more scenes. As long as sales keep rolling, not fussed about popularity contests. Then again I've been an outsider everywhere my entire life so I guess that gives a different perspective?

We all work very hard annnd poof. In the 5 mo I've been here so much has morphed.
Same people same crap or some of the clown shizzz.
Idk because I'm here for the fun but still seriously!!! It's time and fun but $$$ to do scenes! C'mon!!!
Over IT!!!! Not whining but seriously so weird!!!
Ok I'm done!
Its a fetish. I'm just a regular girl who posts what I love and other people love it. I tried selling videos, but it didn't work. Clowns is a niche within a niche.
Just posting what I love doing and other people love it and comment.
It is what it is. I'm pretty unique and am the only female clown and a smelly one.
WOTD really doesn't mean much of anything. It is a glorified popularity contest. Keep making the content you make. Do what makes you happy and what you like.
Just want to note that, if you check the WOTD history (you can do that from the WOTD page), there have been 9 different UMD members or producers who have been WOTD in the last 10 days.

Yes you are correct, but if you go the month of February, 22 days, two people total 10 out of the 22. If you go back to January and February two people total almost half the days. I see Trixxi's point.

That's what it's there for. I can tell you now that being WOTD doesn't help sales for me, but I get pride in knowing people love what I do.
It still cost me money to do what i do and i could keep it private. I do it for the personal enjoyment and why shouldn't I get WOTD just because I'm a female clown?

Love clowns
I think you tagged the wrong person. I have no problem with you getting it.

Maybe that's it in a saturated fetish.
Hope things pick up for you x

Very true and that's exactly what we do. What we like and wha is fun! Just seems to light the page/store traffic a bit. Thanks!!!
I have similar feeling about this as Trixxie. I had over 367 "loves" not long ago, from my pics, comments, etc, and did not even make a runner up slot. Just two weeks ago, i had 161 "loves" no runner up slot, along comes some one with only 121 loves and they make it in the top 5...what gives?
I make comments on the scenes i like from either producers or individuals...i have a lot of content on here through my pics, videos and comments and would just like some recognition! Sorry if I'm whining but its frustrating.

agree Chuck! I'll get a ton of loves & comments and yes I know it's kinda silly but I swear it does increase my traffic flow on store etc. You need to be on there!
I got WOTD once. ONCE. Not for wam pics of my significant other, but for when I was doing the trading cards of UMD members that I have in my profile gallery. I was really proud that day. Still am. Just thought I'd share that if I can get it, YOU can get WOTD.
I have been wondering about the WOTD and how it is determined from a popularity aspect. If you post 15 pictures and another producer posts 10 pictures. All of your pictures get 10 likes and their pictures get 10 likes. Would that give you both 10 points, or would one producer get 150 points and another producer only get 100.
According to the FAQ, I am inclined to think that the points are total and not average so to say. Basically spam the site with pictures if you want to be WOTD.
"You cannot directly rate other users. However the site uses an algorithm that takes into account everything each user posts around the site. The user with the most highly-rated stuff, the most stuff, and the most recent stuff, gets pushed higher in the rankings. So the more you participate, and the better-rated all your stuff is, the higher your score gets. You might even become Wammer of the Day!"
While a number of my favorite producers have gotten WOTD on occasion, some frequently, plenty of them have never gotten it. It's not something I put a lot of stock into since it doesn't tend to influence my purchase decisions here. You make great stuff, so don't be discouraged by what comes down to a popularity contest (not disparaging anyone, but that's what it ultimately is).

Thank you Well put! That is a very very good point.
